WANTED: reviews of the wacom graphire 3 tablet mouse/pen thingy
 
the red robot thread links to and features art by an artist who uses the graphire3 tablet. does anyone have one? do you like it?

don't have that model but ...
wacom tablets rock! just tape a piece of paper on top of it and it feels like the real thing. The only weird part is looking at the screen while drawing on the tablet.

$99 for a 4"x5" or $199 for the 6x8...i guess i gotta go 4x5.

ok, this kind of sucks, but it's my second attempt .....i think i really like this pen.....it is very intuitive. when painting, the opacity is a funtion of how much pressure you put on the tip...as well as line tickness, it acts like a real brush. took a little getting used to the way the cursor moves, but it hink i have the hang of it now. the sketch below was traced over for outline, but shading and detail had to be done free hand. It should be fun to mess with a photo using this thing.

Sure do. And I use it in conjunction with Paint Shop Pro 7 and 8, Photoshop 7, Painter and a few other applications. It's not bad. Although I wouldn't mind a tablet PC ... but I'm not rich.
