Ooh...you're gonna get me all wet talking like that UG...

Urbane Guerrilla 01-09-2007 04:06 AM

It's the ... hose that's doing it, right? If it's not then I don't know what I'm doing carrying this long green thing around... :D

Aliantha 01-09-2007 04:08 AM

If it's green you better get it checked. ;)

Urbane Guerrilla 01-09-2007 04:16 AM

They make plaid hose?

Plaid garden hose? That'd, like, go with my kilt... well okay, it's a belted plaid, not a philibeg...

Aliantha 01-09-2007 04:18 AM

Well I'm now having visions I wish I wasn't. Thanks UG...although I'm not sure what for.

Urbane Guerrilla 01-09-2007 04:21 AM

If there's anyone who runs around the boards giving what for, it's probably me...

And I gotta cry quits; I'm shutting down the puter and heading for bed, as I think I'm mostly over an ill-advised cup of coffee.

Aliantha 01-09-2007 04:25 AM

sweet dreams!

I sat outside for lunch today, in an unheated area covered by an awning.

I was quite comfortable just sitting in the top I am wearing now - I had to take my cape off because I was too warm.

Dagney 01-09-2007 08:50 AM

It's a little chillier here in Raleigh today than it has been all week. They're forecasting a little bit of snow up north - but nothing like what we normally get this time of year.

Very curious.

After a long stretch of days in the mid to high 60s, we're under Code Blue status.

This means a bunch of homeless wastrels will be by looking for a place to sleep.

JayMcGee 01-09-2007 08:48 PM

Today, I actually turned the heating off and opened the front-room windows. It really is scary weather.

20 degrees F and lake effect snow overnight

Clodfobble 01-10-2007 10:26 AM

T-shirt & shorts weather here yesterday afternoon. But that's not too unusual.

Urbane Guerrilla 01-11-2007 11:18 PM

Central TX does stay warm late.

We're going more seasonal now that a fit of warm Santa Ana winds (local phenomenon resulting from high pressure over the Mojave) has passed. The citrus growers are worrying about localized areas of freezing temps tonight and tomorrow.

Iggy 01-12-2007 07:13 PM

Right now it is 20 degrees F and it feels like 6 degrees F. Yesterday we hit a record high of 69 degrees. We are also in the middle of an ice storm, and it is supposed to get worse tomorrow. Talk about shell shocked!
