December 11, 2011 Owl Cat
Meet the cat with the owl face, or the Scottish Fold cat.
http://cellar.org/2011/scottish fold 19.jpg Instead of the perky, upright ears, the ear cartilage in this breed folds foward. Don't worry - they still hear just fine. Susie, the first, was born and discovered in 1961, in Scotland. She had two kittens with the forward folding ears. One of the kittens was purchased for breeding. The Scottish Fold cat is bred with a normal domestic cat to avoid genetic in-breeding. About 50% of the kittens are born with forward facing ears. More pics and info at The Ark in Space. I would pet his fuzzy little head. :)

The unblinking stare. The round head. The drooping ears. That's what happens to all Tablet users.

I want one.

Who says they hear just fine?
A cat's ears were perfected over eons of evolution and jumping on a "cute" mutation doesn't do anything positive. |

The Owl and the pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat they drank some wine spent some quality time and the result was an abomination in the eyes of the lord. |

I should have said "seldom leads to anything postive."
But to PO some more people, the proof of that is obvious at AKC competitions. I like cats, I was dissing the owner. |
