Don't read this article and don't pass it on at your own (and your family's) expense.

Read it, your attempt at reverse psychology notwithstanding.
Excellent article. There will be war. President "Putty" will be so shaped, and so destroyed. Sadness will rain down. |
Extremists in Iran are certainly promoting the same "we will kill you" lies that are also being promoted by extremists in America. It did not start this month. The US all but declared war on Iran for reasons contradicted by every major world power. It is causing a major threat to a moderate Iranian government for the same reason wacko extremists in the US in Oct 1963 wanted nuclear war. without provocation, launched onto every communist nation in the world.
As Curtis LeMay said, if two Americans survive and only one Russian, then we win. Extremist that required a major political confrontation to restrain. Is war inevitable? We know the Don views war as acceptable. He views war as another way to make himself popular. It has always been his nature. Apparently a major confrontation by the Don's people finally got him to change to a sane decision - with only ten minutes to spare. He did not change his mind because 150 people might be killed. He can even kill someone on Fifth Ave and not be prosecuted. It is both his attitude and contempt for honesty. Iran clearly has same problems. Extremists, in part to embarrass their moderate government, may have arbitrarily launched those attacks. And others with drones in Saudi Arabia. For the same reason Curtis LeMay order something like 200 American aircraft to intentionally violate Soviet Union sovereignty. LeMay said we are already at war with the Soviets. Americans just do not know it yet. We can be damn sure similar conversations are happening in Iran. In both nations, confrontations between moderates and extremists is getting hotter. With extremists doing whatever they can to provoke confrontation. |

Send in the Oregon militia!

Wag the Dog. That movie was never more relevant.

"Iranian moderates" have in effect not been allowed in the Iranian government since 1979. There is no use invoking them but to attack American interests, such as they are in that region.

The Brits grabbed an Iranian super tanker, here we go...
|
They can play tug of war with it.

I knew Gibraltar harbor was big... if you can get a supertanker in there, it's bigger than I thought.
Iran's exhibiting an inflated notion of its power-projection abilities. Nothing's ever wrong with spanking a tyranny, however constituted. In Iran's case, an oligarchic despotism rather than a representative democracy in fact not just form. |

For example, Gibraltar channel may only be 13 meters. Supertankers may need 18 or 22 meters. That supertanker is probably not in port. It is probably sitting where so many sit to unload their cargo - in a nearby anchorage. This tanker is probably sitting in an anchorage in the Bay of Gibraltar which might be deep enough. Otherwise it is sitting the Med just off Gibraltar. |
CNN reports the Grace I is drawing 22 meters and is presently loaded with 2M barrels of a heavy petroleum fraction like fuel oil for ships. And that she is anchored out.
|
And now there are up to four ships involved in the overall incident. And they're all four just sitting there. Being boring.
Not a game of Operation. Calls instead for a game of Special Operation. |
