May 5, 2008: Dog rescue in Thailand
http://cellar.org/2008/thairescue1.jpg
Flickr user Astanhope put this set up on Flickr, and it has been getting attention from digg and others. It was actually taken by his mother-in law in Thailand, as two young kids rescue a dog trapped in an aqueduct. http://cellar.org/2008/thairescue2.jpg http://cellar.org/2008/thairescue3.jpg http://cellar.org/2008/thairescue4.jpg Well done, lads... well done. |
Whew! Dinner almost got away!!!
|
They were mistaken, he was enjoying the water, that's all.
I don't believe that dog couldn't climb up that embankment, with 4 paw drive and a low center of gravity. The dog only came to the kid being friendly, and was dragged up the bank. |
night have been slick under the waterline? a thin film of poo?
|
Notice the last picture where he's looking back at the water?
|
Awww.
I'm gonna go to bed thinking they rescued the little dog, and everyone was happy. (Ignoring the fact that when I wake up, there will be 5 posts with recipes for dog soup.) ;) |
I have to say....that was pretty weak. I think the dog would have been fine on its own.
|
I think it's photoshopped.
|
I think the villagers later ate the children.
|
What's on the road in the background of the 4th pic? It looks like a second mutant animal they pulled out of the black lagoon.
|
Horse.
But I love the idea that they are unwittingly pulling the doom of all mankind from polluted waters because it looked like a puppy... Very James Herbert. |
Ha...its a Brahman cow in the back ground, Sundae
|
Ist?
Ah well, it was a guess anyway ;) |
In Vietnamese, "Thịt chó" means dog meat (Thịt = meat, chó = dog), and you see this sign on countless restaurants and shops around the country. In many regions, it is much more common to find dog meat than beef on the market.
|
The background mutant kind of looks like a horse in the 4th picture. A horse with a really long neck and no head.
But in the second picture, it looks more like the Road Warrier, walking toward the boys who are trying to steal his supper. |
