Feb 19th, 2020 : Stealth (sneaky)

Back when Og’s family fought Zogs family over a berry patch or something, they discovered in battle even the winner takes losses
and lumps. As families grew into tribes and tribes to armies, it became clear wide open toe to toe battles were not the smartest
move no matter how much surplus cannon fodder you have.
The crowd was shouting Defense! Defense!

They built stockades of wood but that just slowed the raiders down while it burned. Stone forts were stronger, Castles stronger still,
but sieges cut off supplies of food and sometimes water. The problem was sieges took at least long and often longer, meanwhile
mama’s pissed because you aren’t home for the twins birthday, and your troops are bored, getting restless because they missed
the harvest. ♫ Who’s making love to your old lady while you’re out making war ♪.

The solution to shortening the siege and keep the troops busy was tunneling under the walls. Not to gain entry as they’d get picked
off entering but to undermine the wall to collapse so they could enter in force. It still took a long time and a lot of labor but the
coming of explosives helped. By WW II tunneling had become an art used extensively in the Far East and Stalag Luft III

Aircraft, bigger and badder, made tunneling only useful for hiding and stealth, throughout history the one truth proven repeatedly
is it’s better if your enemy doesn’t know when or where you’re moving or what you plan on doing. Even the animals know that.

Do you know where your enemies are... or their plans?
There’s absolutely, positively, no conceivable way for them to sneak up on you?
Hide your Broccoli and String Beans. Shield your carrots and Tomatoes. Protect your Apples and Avocados. Hold on to your nuts.
They might be hiding in plain sight. Eh, let ‘em eat Kale!

Superhighway of the thieves. :yesnod:
