4/11/2005: Great white shark feeding
http://cellar.org/2005/greatwhitefed.jpg
I've had this one for a while now, in the Friday queue - but there have always better Friday shots, and maybe it's better for a Monday anyway. Here at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, they feed a great white shark - and despite our popular notions of sharks being "eating machines", the official caption said this is the first documented instance of a great white feeding chow offered in a controlled environment. |
All together now..."That's a dolphin!" :lol2:

I'd be more impressed if someone was breastfeeding him....

Got Floss?
Are you certain they aren't trying that new dental plan for sharks? Looks like a nice flossing to me.. I hear Shamu loves it. :jig:

It's A Stick
That brown, stick like thing? That's a stick.

If you were that ugly people would have to use a 10 foot pole to touch you too. :stickpoke |

I am absolutely terrified of sharks and the ocean in general. BUT! I hate that I have that fear. We're planning a trip to South Africa 2/06 and I hope to do this.
I'm starting a little trend. I went skydiving to get over my hear of heights. Standing with your toes over the edge of a plane door at 12,000 feet will cure anyone. Now... what can I do about my fear of bugs? |
I'm not afraid of skydiving, it's the sudden stop at the end that terrifies me...
(not mine, but still good) |
