Still is.

She does not have any idea what you are talking about and wants me to find out. Refuses to come to the screen. What the hell did yo all do to her?

Marmalade is a terrible word too. They should just call them all jam.

Somehow "Creole Lady Jam" doesn't scream hit record.

There is a disconnect between what is said and what is perceived.

Time away from the computer is probably not a bad thing.

Yeah, I make it from scratch here too. Much nicer than the stuff you buy from the shops.

wolf 10-30-2011 10:09 PM

Recipes, ladies, recipies!!!

Aliantha 10-30-2011 10:10 PM

Egg yolk, sugar, butter and lemons (or limes if you prefer). I'll have to get the quantities to you when I can be bothered getting my book out. ;)

wolf 10-30-2011 10:23 PM

I'll appreciate that, thanks! My friends and I love going to tea and have started making our own because our favorite teahouse got sold to an idiot who just went out of business.

monster 10-31-2011 10:23 AM

I lost my recipe

footfootfoot 10-31-2011 11:03 AM

There, there. You'll have that recipe again.

Never!

Ohhhh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sundae 10-31-2011 02:59 PM

Sorry Clod.
I know you are our guru for everything else in the world.
But you are wrong about marmalade.
It's a gorgeous word!

If I had a daughter I'd be tempted to call her Marmalade (as in Marmalade Atkins).

Nothing wrong with Lemon Curd either.
We used to sell Cheese Curd Tarts when I worked in Hampshires Bakery.
Now that did sound wrong.

DanaC 10-31-2011 03:14 PM

Ohhhh. We just called 'em curd tarts in Bolton. Used to love those.

I agree on the Lemon Curd front: nowt wrong with that. Nor indeed marmalade. Marmalade Atkins rocked!

I think Tracey Beaker is a little like a modern version of Marmalade.

Sundae 10-31-2011 03:21 PM

Yebbut she has a lame name.
