A cappella
I'm a big fan of a cappella music. I prefer solo to multiple voices. I'm having trouble finding much of it commercially, however.
Anyone have any suggestions, artists, songs, albums, sites, etc. that might help me along in my search? Thanks! |
It is very difficult to sing without accompaniment, even for a trained musician. It's even harder to do solo, than as part of a group (no chance to sneak a breath etc.).
If you do find something, please post it here. I assume you already know about the Nylons, Straight No Chaser, and the Undertones. All groups  |
I like Da Vinci's Notebook (another group)

Popular or classical, stormy?
Manhattan Transfer for popular, Anonymous 4 for Medieval. |
Manhattan Transfer is a very nice vocal group. But a lot (most?) of their stuff is not a capella.
