I believe this is a ruby throated humming bird. The size to finger comparison in this photo is amazing! I wonder what the eggs look like.

The humming bird eggs will be white and less than half an inch long, about the size of a small jelly bean or pea.

I had one land on my finger once, they weigh next to nothing. Apparently the orange throat is the non-breeding (winter) plumage.

Seamus, Seamus! Look at me moves!

Is it not the same as all your other dances, Finnbar?

Watch out Griff, they're omnivores.

We'll need hundreds to make a decent pie. I think we can work them into hors douvres though. Hold the beak, dip into boiling water to remove the feathers, dip into boiling oil for a crispy skin, serve on crackers. To eat, hold by the beak, eat in one bite, use the beak as a toothpick. :yum:

Pie? What about the feathered capes?
