July 18, 2009: Psychedelic Hearse

Hey, just because you're dead, why should it spoil our fun?

Why shouldn't we have a trippy trip, to the cemetary... or cliff... or rendering plant... or where ever we decide to dump you?

The colourful coffin carrier is currently located in Somerset, England and is available for hire as a film or TV prop. If you fancy getting your hands on it long term then it’s all yours for a mere £5k.

Now if you did splash the cash and buy it you could go into the funeral business or better still convert it into a passion wagon. The options are endless.
Um, passion wagon? I'm sure the cops wouldn't notice this baby parked on a side street or way in the back of the mall parking lot. :haha:

The psychedelic hearse will be put on eBay in September with a Buy It Now option for £5,000. The sale will include the website name and rights.

I think the fact that this is a hearse would seriously take the passion out of it for some people. :headshake

Be a great way to cart your band's gear around. my dad had a hearse in the 50's. they used to arrive at gigs with one member in a mock coffin, unload, and open the crate.... part of the schtick

Your dad was a musician, jim? What kinds of music did they play, I'd love to hear more about the show involving the coffin.

Some people like to get stiff among the stiffs...

MB and I have been considering buying a hearse, to cart our products to horror, tattoo, etc. conventions.

But that paint job's a little more colorful than what we had in mind...we were thinking maybe some flames here and there, but not much more than that.

he still is. He's mainly into bluegrass at this point...

he gets together with his buddies every tuesday night and jams. all acoustic, mostly a bunch of finger pickers....guitars and banjos.

back in those days, he played the bass for a 50's pop band. big bopper stuff. he was a big buddy holly fan, IIRC.
