This couple is a daily visitor to my house and sometimes they bring the extended family with joeys.

Cute?...yes. But that big boy doesnt back off when you go near him and when I have the dogs, he actually comes at me.

They are beautiful creatures though.

I like the possums.
Nearly every episode of Animal Rescue they seem to need to be hauled out of trouble.
But they look so CUTE!

That and mangy dogs kept by bogans of course.
But they are ususually flea ridden and have to be put down.
(and the dogs!)

Trilby 11-29-2011 07:02 AM

that is *so* cool!

is that your neighborhood, Ducks?

Sundae 11-29-2011 08:27 AM

Wait, what?!
Watching I'm a Celebrity - they had possum in their sausages tonight?!?!?

Nooooooes!

infinite monkey 11-29-2011 08:29 AM

The way they stand and their physique...they look like bodybuilders!

I wouldn't want to scrap with one.

That is so cool.

footfootfoot 11-29-2011 01:24 PM

How do they, um, taste?

Sundae 11-29-2011 02:08 PM

I've eaten roo.
It's good. But easy to overcook.
Those buggers are ACTIVE and that means a low fat content.

with their tongues! just like you and me!

Sundae 11-29-2011 02:35 PM

Snicker.

I missed the thrust of the question.
It's red meat. It's steaky and a tiny bit gamey.
But Jim's answer FTW.

ZenGum 11-29-2011 05:14 PM

That big fella is pretty damn big. Given where you are and how he looks I presume he's an Eastern Gray rather than a Red, so by that standard he is BIG.
He could give someone a right kicking.

It is cool, but a little dangerous. Especially for the dogs. Are there any dams or lakes nearby?

xoxoxoBruce 11-30-2011 01:22 AM

And when he chases you, trying to escape you run into venomous spiders and snakes... or Crocodiles. They work together you know. :yesnod:

zippyt 11-30-2011 01:27 AM

dont forget the drop bears !!!

ZenGum 11-30-2011 05:09 AM
