May 10th, 2016: Hand Flowers
When I saw this group called Hand Flowers by Maude White, I thought that's fine work, steady hand stuff.
http://cellar.org/2016/handflower1.jpg I figured she used some sort of white ink or paint on clear glass to draw the flower. Then photograph it with her hand behind, in front of a black background. Wrong, presumptuous breath, that would be much too easy. Actually it's archival paper, she cut by hand with a blade. Blade. Cut. Paper. Mic drop. :eek6: http://cellar.org/2016/handflower2.jpg Actually these flowers, while fine, look easier than some of the portraits and animals she has in her portfolio. I didn't see any time numbers, or prices, but they must both be considerable. |
Wow, she's wasting her skilz on paper when she could be assembling cell phones on a Chinese iphone line...

Yeah, she could be making prototype chips before the commit to production. :haha:
