April 2, 2009: Jingle Bomb

Michael Yon, my favorite war corespondent, Posted these pictures taken the other night on the Afghanistan/ Pakistan border.
Quote:

Soldiers call these colorful beasts “jingle trucks” because of all the chains and bells that make them sound like road chimes. Jingle trucks ply the roads of places like Nepal, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, often dangerously overloaded with just about anything imaginable.

At one of our checkpoints, the soldier with the glowing eyes discovered enough Emulite explosive to "kill hundreds of people". Good doggie, damn good doggie.

Mike writes;
Quote:

Needless to say, the soldiers and contractors treat these dogs like royalty. There is no exaggeration whatsoever in saying that the working dogs are treated far better than our soldiers. (Not that anyone complains, but it is humorous for everyone to see that the dogs get treated even better than Air Force personnel, who are treated 2x better than soldiers, who are treated 5x better than Marines. That means bomb dogs are treated at least 10x better than Marines.)
:haha:

Only problem is, now he wants to play throw-and-fetch with what he found.

Send the bus to the paki's and let them pick up some cross border transients.

The manufacturer of those explosives (based out of Pakistan):

"Wah Nobel is fully committed to a policy that ensures a consistent supply of quality products and services at competitive prices."
