Elspode 01-28-2006 11:56 AM

plthijinx 01-28-2006 12:20 PM

As long as it's only the picture you were trying to get off .... :eyebrow:

Aliantha 01-29-2006 07:02 PM

Geee...and I thought this site was different to all the rest. :(

Actually, this site is indifferent to all the rest.

Aliantha 01-29-2006 07:38 PM

Don't all sites claim that distinction?

wolf 01-29-2006 08:35 PM

But we can back it up.

Aliantha 01-29-2006 08:37 PM

lol...how?

wolf 01-29-2006 08:45 PM

You don't really want to know. The last two who tried to challenge us went mad, and the one before that, well, I think he's the one who gouged his own eyes out. Does anybody remember?

Aliantha 01-29-2006 08:48 PM

Yeah...I do really want to know. :) There's no challenge here, just curiosity. How does this place distinguish itself from other similar sites?

Well I don't know about Australia, but here we'd probably say "different from all the rest" or "different than all the rest".

All the rest would merely jump on a poster's bad spelling.

Plus, we have the quiz.

Griff 01-29-2006 09:24 PM

This place will suprise you with the breadth and depth of knowlege some random member will pop up with when you have a question.

Folks here are often very supportive of members when life isn't going their way. There is a price though. You've got to give to get. Be straight tell real stories about real life offer real opinions defend them and don't spam us on post 1. It's simple and rare.

By not trying to, as far as I can tell. Other sites generally seem to have a focus. You never know what will come up here.

footfootfoot 01-29-2006 09:27 PM

Griff and HM:
You left out the sarcasm. We do take it to places it hasn't gone before.

Happy Monkey 01-29-2006 09:35 PM

I dunno, I think even more than sarcasm, we take bemusement to new heights.

Aliantha 01-29-2006 09:35 PM

I see the grammar nazis (possibly unqualified) are in residence here also. There's something you have in common with practically every other MB. How bout the spelling police? Are there any of those here?

Griff and HM...thanks for your comments. ;)

Happy Monkey 01-29-2006 09:37 PM

The plural of "nazi" is "nazis".

Aliantha 01-29-2006 09:47 PM

Gee thanks for that HM.

Quite simply put, there are no similar sites.

xoxoxoBruce 01-30-2006 12:30 AM

Aliantha, I see you've settled on a sig line. Cool, I like it...... except the animation give me seizures.

Rock Steady 01-30-2006 01:32 AM

This place is distinguished by its characters. It takes a while to get to know them. Folks with 1000s of posts are good to those with just dozens of posts; except when they deserve a good spanking.

Also, this place avoids glitziness; no avatars, no special fonts or colors, plain. Dropping the animated part of your signature would boost your points.

Oh wow, there are spankings here too. You guys should advertise that up front.

Possibly unqualified?
Most assuredly unqualified!

But we don't let that slow us down. ;)

Spexxvet 01-30-2006 01:04 PM

There's more changing of signature lines and whatever you call the description below the screen name here compared to other sites, though my experience is limited.

And then there's whale penis here. You don't get that just anywhere!

barefoot serpent 01-30-2006 02:24 PM

The abbreviation UT also stands for Ultimate in Tolerance.

SteveDallas 01-30-2006 02:49 PM

I only grammar nazi if it involves an amusing double entendre of some kind.

Well, you know, they won't fit just anywhere.

Aliantha 01-30-2006 06:09 PM

Well thanks for all the advice girls and boys. :) I'll be sure to make sure it's all duly noted. I probably wont change my signature for the moment though. I'm planning on breaking through the brick wall sooner or later. ;)

Happy Monkey 01-30-2006 06:21 PM

"Won't" has an apostraphe.

I kid, I kid. I'm not really a spelling/grammar nazi.

That apostrophe never made sense anyway.

Aliantha 01-30-2006 06:27 PM

Did you mean apostrophe? ;)

Aliantha 01-30-2006 06:30 PM

Further to that, as the word 'wont' is a contraction of the words 'will not', in formal language the apostrophe is required, however, for the purposes of general English, the apostrophe may be omitted without censure.

Happy Monkey 01-30-2006 06:31 PM

Touché

Aliantha 01-30-2006 06:33 PM

lol...thankyou!

footfootfoot 01-30-2006 07:48 PM

What about wont, as in: "As is her wont." Or is it spelled want?

Aliantha 01-30-2006 07:51 PM

I think you had it right the first time. I'm not the spelling police though. You should probably wait for HM to comment. :)

Happy Monkey 01-30-2006 08:02 PM

It's "As is her wont".

lumberjim 01-30-2006 08:13 PM

so.......anyone think of any good questions yet?.......

Aliantha 01-30-2006 08:15 PM

Tonchi 01-30-2006 11:04 PM
