Quads
 

I've stumbled across a new method, probably not original, but cool nevertheless. I call it Quad, and it makes for good wallpapers. Take most any picture, copy it, flip it, and reverse as needed, then do it again.

The results can be pretty cool when you tile them as your desktop wallpaper, for example:

Here is a picture I took in Paris at the Metro station, transformed using the method:

Here is one taken in a field west of Houston:

Copy and paste the Grass one as a tiled wallparer and you will see the face in the swamp. Creepy.

There was a woman on Wunderground that was doing that with macro pictures of insects and flowers. I think I like yours better.
The weeds looks like Mother Natures headband. Outstanding!

Very nice art photography NBN. Seeing the thread title and some of your other photos I wasn't sure what to expect. I could think of a NSFW subject with the same title.

You can certainly get some strange results!

buster, I use Adobe Photoshop elements, but I'm sure there are many other options for something simple like this.

Here is a pic of Stonehenge I put on the Cellar before. I think the key to a good one is when the sky below looks like water.

I really like what happened to the sage grasses and twigs in your one of the field ... I have a thing for kaleidoscopes.

I have the flip and flop worked out, but have no idea how to get the 4 photos into one.Yeah I know I'm technology challenged :smack:

BusterB - you can use Paint, just make a New image and size it to accomodate all 4 images. Then paste in each of the 4 pieces -- drag & drop each one appropriately.

Thanks The paste thing had me going. I opened all 4 photos in photoshop and was lost trying to merge them. :smack:
