Name that White Trash!

Britney had a baby boy today, via C-section. She is reported as saying she wanted a C to avoid the "pain of natural childbirth"--! Whatever. I cannot wait to find out what these two geniuses are gonna name that kid!

seakdivers 09-14-2005 06:31 PM

I saw that. She didn't want any pain......awww.... well who does?

Our hospital up here does not offer *any* pain medications/ epidurals....etc at all. I made it through three of 'em (and it shows!!!).

BigV 09-14-2005 06:50 PM

The name of Britney's baby is a matter of monumental indifference to me. Wake me when it's over.

Clodfobble 09-14-2005 09:16 PM

My logic has always been: we know that at least some of the epidural drugs get into the baby's system, and these are the same babies we won't give Tylenol until they're two years old--therefore I will never be willing to have an epidural. I suppose if I have to have a C-section due to complications then I will have no choice, but I certainly would never choose one.

Hemlock 09-14-2005 09:33 PM

In Brasil people have C-sections so they are still good in bed...if you know what I mean.

And I think the phrase "White Trash" is derogatory, and its use should be banned on the board.

Well. You certainly told me. White Trash is a term, it's two words. People attach meaning to words. Plus, they are White Trash.

Ahem.. Excuse me. White trash is a mild term here. Lighten up. It's the cellar. And all in jest. Maybe. However, there are some terms NEVER used here. But I don't know yet WTF they are.

undone 09-15-2005 05:46 PM

White trash can't afford epidurals-or c sections

lumberjim 09-15-2005 05:46 PM

Can't you guys pick up on sarcasm?

lumberjim 09-15-2005 07:57 PM

sarcasm? what's that?

Trilby 09-15-2005 08:17 PM

Ok--see the pic of Brit with the thong around her ankles? THAT is what makes her White Trash. White Trash is a devotion to a lifestyle, not an economic class.
That is the beauty of it--anyone can aspire to the lifestyle!

Here is a definition I like (from the Urban Dictionary):
White Trash: a derogatory term and classist stereotype, which is used very broadly and mostly inaccurately used to describe rural, and/or poverty class individuals. (Favored mostly by the Bourgeois masses that watch too much TV.)

capnhowdy 09-15-2005 08:56 PM

hey.. don be tawkin bout my ma........

Trilby 09-15-2005 09:07 PM

Hemlock: #1) I am Bourgeois. Sorry. It's my lot in life, but I carry on as best I can.

#2) I thought you said you were being sarcastic!

#3) Somebody's pants are on FIRE!

Can't imagine how it escaped everybody's notice that Kevin Federline is from FRESNO? Does that say it all, or what? Or was everybody being kind to me by not bringing that up and rubbing it in? ;)

Here is something else that nobody has grabbed on to: Britney Dearest is from Louisiana. Born and raised. But unless I somehow missed hearing it, she has not made one comment, statement of sympathy, photo op, or inquiry as to whether everybody she grew up with/married was swept away by Katrina. I find THAT more pathetic than her childish avoidance of any discomfort childbirth might cause.

BigV 09-16-2005 01:47 AM

She has been a little pregnant the past couple of week, though, you have to give her that.

Tonchi 09-16-2005 01:53 AM

Then I guess Britney wouldn't have been impressed with the 250-lb black woman who went into labor during the hurricane so she swam out the window of her apartment in order to get to the hospital and finish delivering her baby.

Eh, she feared the wrath of Urbane Guerilla or was it NicotineGun? I get the two of them confused. :worried:

Troubleshooter 09-16-2005 08:29 AM

There's a saying around here that applies I think.

'You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park our of the girl.'

undone 09-16-2005 10:16 AM

Aw, trailer parks can be fun. You get to share your Hamm's with all your neighbors. You can hang your wash out with the neighbor lady. You can cultivate flamingos in the front dirt. Your old man can always find help in the middle of the day from all the other out of work losers to work on his broke down pickup. Wal-mart is just around the corner. You can round up all the neighbor kids, find your best cereal bowl and give dollar haircuts. I don't know why they call it "Hamburger Helper" it does just fine by itself.

Although I agree with your sentiment, that's not true. Ped's routinely recommend doses of tylenol, following vaccinations, at baby's 2,4,6,12,15,18 and 24 month appointments. 20 or so injections, many with multiple antigens... sorry, I digress.

If she didn't leave it knotted around your neck, you are still ahead ;)

Elspode 09-16-2005 04:28 PM

I, for one, care not one whit about Ms. Spears' intellect, her upbringing, performing abilities or conversational qualities. She can be as white trash as Daisy Duke's grandma, and I wouldn't care. In fact, I am greatly encouraged by her childbirth choice, as it keeps thing relatively unabused in the long run, thus further fanning my fantasy flames. The only thing about Britney that interests me has been preserved and well-maintained (though a good washing is probably in order).

If only she wasn't saving herself for Bruce.

be-bop 09-16-2005 06:30 PM

Unsure about the the term White Trash is that the same or higher up the food chain a bit from a Redneck please explain??? :D

busterb 09-16-2005 07:39 PM

About the same, Hill Billy, GA.cracker, redneck, backwoods folks And in LA, coonass.
Sometimes in fun and sometimes it's other folks looking down there noses at people who are not as high up the social ladder.

plthijinx 09-17-2005 12:30 AM

here's the laydown from skoal spitter to heineken drinker:
white trash (because not all white trash can afford a trailer)
trailer trash (makes enough money to at least afford rent in a trailer)
redneck (if you git stuk rednecks gunna come up with a beer and say "hold yer pecker, i'll git some help", only to return with his wife and kids and wait for bubba)
bubba (he rolls up with his ridin' lawn mower and a loggin' chain and says those famous last words "hey y'all watch this!")
good ol' boy (rolls up with his F-350 or C-3500 with a chain with cuntry musak blarin' oh, and stay out of his way and do as your told, it's best)
heineken boy (rolls up in his land rover and calls good ol' boy that works for him to take care of the situation all whilst talking to muffy on his cell phone)

Ummm... last I heard a C-section is much more painful in the after days then natural. Maybe she will be really doped up, because she will be hurting! She will learn.

Also, they have surgeries now to make the women good in bed again. And I think Britney can afford it.

Yes, I reckon you nailed it. Always wanted to be a good ol' boy.
