Royal gardens in Beijing
 

i has gone to beijing the last summer, visited a many of historic sites and taked some pix. all of them impressed me. i think mabey i should share it with all friends in cellar.

the jinshan garden, Very famous, caz a emperor hanged himself in a tree at there after the enemy rushed into the capital.

the alarm tower in the suburb of Beijing, which can be used to alarm.when enemy come the soldier burnd the smoking stuff to sent the alarm siglal to the other tower. so the information can be sent very quickly before these tower

the Qianlong emperor in Qing dynasty built this Buddhism tower to celebrate his mother's 60th' birthday

the Cixi Queen the only female king in Qing dynasty built this Long life tower to hope that she can live forever.

i took this pix in the Qunming lake aboard cruise

a shipboat built by white marble completely.absolutely, this construction influenced by the west.

hi, Roosta,i am very glad that u like the pix.and 404Error , the marble boat don't float and there is the base part under the water. it's make that just look like floating off but it's not

Qunming lake reminds me of Naboo in the horrible Star Wars prequels.

If the Summer Palace was in Beijing where was the Winter Palace?

There is a Winter Palace, I cannot remember where it is in China.
The Summber Palace and other Palace were heavily destroyed by the army allies of Western 8 countries. These palaces are the history mirror for us.

I want to say two things:

1) It is awesome that you guys (Eric and Billy) send us these incredible photos.
2) Your English is SO much better than my Chinese would be if I knew any at all...

THAT Winter Palace was in St Petersburg, but I was wondering if (the) Cixi Queen spent the winters down by Billy? :confused:

the base is the white marble and the main construction is carved wood.

Elspode, good eyesight.i noticed it after i had taken it, i really sorry for it.maybe the flash could damage the paint? i will come to beijing again at end of this month and take more pix.
