Your "super power"
 

I'm relatively new to the cellar.org. If this was covered in the past, let me know and I'll look up the thread if possible.

If you had one, what would your “super power” be and how would you use it? The answer often tells much about a person.

(I know this question may seem lightweight compared to others found in this forum, but this childhood question still taunts me for an answer.)

Can it only be one? Or can two or three that work in conjuction with each other be considered one?

The ability to slow time would be enough to get anything done.

Instantaneous thought materializaton...sorta scary thought though, huh?

To overcome the restrictions of myself. (Ha - that gets 'em all in one!!)

Does that include the leather and bondage paraphenalia?

I would like the power to fly like Superman.

I would use it to start a new competitively priced tower rigging business (changing lightbulbs at the tops of radio and TV station towers.) I might save kittens from trees too, for a fair price. I would entertain other legal business opportunities as they came up.

Actually, the suit is moulded from ultra lightweight malleable carbon fibre - to give the flexibility and bullet proofing requirements one needs for day-to-day evil-fighting and building-jumping. The bondage shit is just for show - people are more inclined to respond to my money-making TV spin-offs and movies if they can imagine me as some kind of mistress dominatrix. But Pussywoman never caught on.

You could explode things. You could fly. You could change someone's mind by altering the neurons in their brain. You could control the weather. You could do almost anything.

You would also need the wisdom to know how best to control those atom to get the results you want.

Hm...I think I'd like the power to start over. Yeah, that'll be cool. :D

I've answered this question many different ways at various points in my life.

This week, I'd like the power to see events that have transpired with the ability to show them to others. This could be used to solve questions of our creation, witness religious miracles, resolve murders, and see disputed historical events. (However, I've never wanted to see into the future because that would sap all of the fun out of it.)

I'd like to think that with this knowledge we could move on with our lives and stop bickering over stupid stuff.

Then again, last week I wanted to leverage the unused brain cycles of other people to resolve complex problems. (Since some folks I know aren't pulling their weight or using even their minimum potential...) Think of it as sort of a distributed computing solution for humanity. I quickly rescinded this wish when I realized, given the quality of some of the hardware involved (including my own), the results would probably be flawed anyway.

Anything I write comes true. Along with the power to edit anything out that I want. I could be changing eternity and no one would be any the wiser. If I got exhausted with this power I could always hire an expert side-kick...Bush Jr. :p

Reading minds, changing the flow of time, but I think a really useful superpower would be to eat all the chocolate I wanted and not have to deal with any of the calories.

I'd like the power to turn divorces into rainbow-filled picnics without the ants. Not that I've had any D's.....but this seems most impossible....(it's the little things)

I'd like the power to trade places with anyone, anywhere, anytime for as long (or short) as I wanted.

Turns out, I have that power. I think my divorce was more pleasant than my wedding. :)

I want the power Beestie mentioned above. The possibilities are simply endless.

I just want to fly. That would be endlessly cool. Sure, seeing the future and/or being a human movie reel for the past would be fun, and being able to read and/or alter peoples' thoughts is useful, but all I want is to just coast on the breeze to wherever I want to go. And, occasionally, to spit on people from about 1000 feet upward, just to screw with them

The ability to love unconditionally and to be loved in the same way, when neither parties deserve it. It is my opinion that the only real love is unconditional. How many people do you know, other than immediate family who love in this way???
