Where are they now?

I present a list of people who have come and gone in the past 3 years...or so it seems. Some are more notorious than others. What are they up to now? Be simplistic or go all out...have fun.

For you relative rookies, do some homework.

How about Barak? Does anyone know his real name? I expected to see him on the news one day, and not in a good way.

elSicomoro 01-24-2004 09:30 PM

Nic Name: Marketing Director of the Ontario Communist Party

Xugumad: Lives in Gaza City...insists to the Palestinians that he is one of them

Jaguar: Serving time in an Australian prison for hacking...recently attacked with his own knife

Cam: Hanging out with the Tall Skinny Bastard

Cairo: Now a Democrat and an atheist

jimf747: Still waiting for Sycamore at Omonia Cafe in Astoria, Queens

Rucita: Now in Iraq, working for the CPA

Dave: Now owns 23 PlayStations, 14 Game Cubes, Busara (home of mother fuckin' PAD GAI!!!!!!) and a new shower head...the Volvo still doesn't drive though

Torrere 01-24-2004 11:29 PM

Cam is drunk.

Xugumad is in the Library of Congress, seeking a Holy Grail. He is reading books with green covers with a sense of desperation, and taking copious notes in precise MLA format.

BrianR 01-25-2004 01:16 PM

If Rich can bring up Yoshua Barak, then *I* can bring up the all-time favorite owner and designer of the internet, Mike Smith.

Brian

mwbEEf 01-25-2004 01:26 PM

Nic Name: After receiving official confirmation that he indeed had posted a link to EVERY website available online in the year 2001 on the various web forums he beloned to, he decided to up the ante by physically cutting out useless newspaper clippings and mailing them through the U.S. postal system to everyone who replied to certain forum topics. He is currently nursing a cramped hand from cutting clippings and a raw tongue from licking all of those stamps.

Good luck Nic, here's to being utterly useless in 2004!

xoxoxoBruce 01-25-2004 02:16 PM

Hey Syc, don't you know ScottSoloman?

elSicomoro 01-25-2004 02:33 PM

Yeah...you know, I really did plan to include him, but forgot.

Last weekend, my mom told me she had talked to his mom recently (they've been friends for over 30 years)...apparently, he told his mom that we threw him out or something to that effect. Although, my mom has a tendency to over-sensationalize things on occasion.

Brian

Darn, I almost forgot about him! I had my own altercation with him, outside of the context of The Cellar ... on USENET. (he suddenly stopped communicating with me when I called him on two of his major lies.)

xoxoxoBruce 01-25-2004 05:53 PM

Mr Market.:haha:

elSicomoro 01-25-2004 06:45 PM

Mr. Market: Suffered a bullet wound in the buttocks when mistaken for a bear in a Philadelphia grocery store

breakingnews 01-28-2004 08:12 AM

Okay, I've been inactive so long it doesn't auto login anymore. That fucking sucks.

I dunno where I've been, really, but you folks in the Philly area know that I'm still alive and kickin' since my byline has been in the paper regularly. Then again, IRL realm is totally different from online.

I had a busy holiday season, but I was mostly distracted trying to juggle four girls between Christmas and last week.

Haven't spent much time at home either. Between my friend's couch and the floor beneath my desk, I shouldn't bother paying rent here.

Undertoad 01-28-2004 08:28 AM

Can't watch for your stories cos we don't know your byline name!

The day before you showed up I did wonder whether you were still with us. The number of "temporary" people who hang for a while and leave is huge. It's all good - it's just how it is, for a lot of people it makes sense to be here for a month or two between various things happening in their lives.

Beestie 01-28-2004 08:37 AM

Gwennie - I thought she fit in pretty well.

lumberjim - has it been ten minutes already? :)

Undertoad 01-28-2004 09:02 AM

Gwennie's only 10 days gone so she may stick around. Maybe I'll drop her a note to encourage her.

wolf 02-03-2004 12:51 AM

Damned if I know ... he just wandered off, never to be heard from again ... ;)

Yeah, then again, don't know if I want all you people reading my stuff. I get enough hate mail and phone calls from crazy WWII vets as it is.

I think I just got really busy for a while. Work has been hectic, and I've been playing around with various booty over the past few weeks. Went to visit the ex down in Atlanta this weekend ... and I'm starting to feel like I made a huge mistake moving back to NJ (and consequently breaking up with her). I guess that's a subject for a different thread.

Your recent story about rising gas prices was very informative. :)

re: Barak
I heard from him a few years ago, but I honestly can't remember what he was up to.

Ahhh, Barak, who was sure I was black because white women don't write emotional poetry...I still have a copy of his book "Blackmen Say Hello to Love, Say Goodbye to Misery".

re: RichH
He..um...he's what? What happened? :/

Undertoad 02-05-2004 11:42 AM

R.I.P. RichH.

Thank you for the linkage.

He's one of the Cellar crowd I wish I would have met. :(

Elionwyr 02-05-2004 01:34 PM

Snowbear
Silverdawn
