Autumn

Went for a road trip today, me and the corn eating dawg. Thought I'd give mom some time to herself to rest, while I got out and enjoyed one of the last warm days of the year.

Took a few pictures, here are some of the best:

Where would these wonderful places be? I've got to get there...

Central Pennsylvania :) Just north of York

I try to go once a season - and it always looks different. The winter pictures from last year are awesome. If I can find them, I'll post them!

Bruce, is that the Star Barn?

xoxoxoBruce 10-26-2003 07:51 AM

And the best trees.:)

Dag, I have been desperately yearning to get out the past couple (absolutely beautiful) weekends here in MO to do exactly the same thing as you just did...take some pics and soak up the fineness of Autumn. Sadly, reality prevented it, and I woke up this morning to 38 degrees and another hectic day scheduled.

Thanks for sharing.

Els, sometimes you have to schedule down time to recharge YOUR batteries. Would be a valuable lesson for the rest of the team, in considering other peoples needs, so you'd actually be doing them a favor.
See, you just have to get the right spin on it. :D

Sure am, it's off of 283 on the way to HIA...

Poor thing's in a nasty state of disrepair though....

Thing is, most of it is doing things that I love to do. For example, today I am going to play music for the installation of a new pastor at a local Pagan-friendly UU church. Before that, we are interviewing a possible new covener, and after that, we have our weekly coven gathering...makes for a really full day.

My problem is that there are so many things which I love to do, I cannot possibly find time for all of them.

the star barn...
Would I pass by it, see it off the hwy going from Hbg to Lancaster? If its off that road, its the one I remember seeing and imagining I would someday move it and restore it. I worked a year for the PA Historical and museum commission and did some cataloging work at the Landis Valley Farm Museum. PA definitely has some beautiful historic farms. I'll get back there someday for a visit- and fall is a beautiful time. Thanks for the pics!

They're restoring it and I'm sure they could use your help, warch.:D
