This guy made a list of the best pizza shops in America.
That's a pretty subjective call to begin with.
But when this is Chicago's best... fugetaboutit

Man -- that is not even an argument about putting the canadian bacon on with the pineapple. People go into fits of bewildering wrath over that.

I used to love Pizza hut for many years but 3 yrs ago they changed it to a more natural sauce I guess and to me it tastes like crap and it bothers my stomach!!

This area(Philly suburbs PA & NJ) is blessed with small sandwich/subs/pizza shops everywhere. They do well if the food is good, plus the people around here are used to dealing with small shops and aren't put off if the outside isn't shiny as a new penny. It's about the food.

Lack of ethnics, maybe? But I've even seen Irish make a decent pizza, small town is no excuse.

It is if it comes with small demand.

If the food is good they'll build demand, and if it's really good folks will come up with more and more excuses not to cook. ;)

What im wondering is if Pizza hut only did this IN THE USA!! (If ya goto canada you can still get the good kind they have had for years)

It seems like the Canadian franchises of various US companies get more leeway. Pouteen at Dairy Queen that sort of thing.

In mere capitalism, clean water and air are excellent marketing- and selling-points, especially in North America and Western Europe -- the kind of cultures you have the most personal experience of. Have you diligently (like, reading up) studied on this?

It worked pretty well for the US until the pre-WW I depression, and worked again until the great depression. Then with restraints by the government it worked well again until globalization and Ronnie Rayguns taking off the restraints left it to it's own devices... which weren't in our best interest.

This is true, however how it was obtained may very well be a crime. Products and services which poison, maim, and kill people with adulterants and/or shoddy production should be prosecuted.

Growing up outside NYC I know what great pizza is. After moving to Bumfuck, NY near the adirondacks* I realized I had to learn to make my own pizza. I started 15 years ago and make 3-4 pizzas every friday** and I've gotten pretty good at it.




*Once, about 4 years ago I was in the middle of the Adirondacks and stopped at a deli/gas station miles from nowhere or the nearest town. The only thing halfway decent looking was pizza in a revolving hot cabinet. The inch and I took our chances and it was astonishingly good pizza. By far the best I've ever had outside New York or New Haven and their environs.


**I make pizza every Friday, well, not absolutely every Friday, but most Fridays in the month. I expect I must make pizza about three or four times a month, at least three or four, only some Fridays... like last Friday, there really wasn't the time, so that moved the average down a bit...
