30 year anniversary

Looking for advice , 30 year anniversary ,
warm, tropical, cheap
PR , or USVI ???
I envision warm tidy bowl blue water , Killer snorkeling , Strong Dark rum drinks , all inclusive resort , privet pool ???

Any suggestions ??

I know a group of people who went to Punta Cana this year to celebrate someone's birthday. They liked it. Haven't been there myself.

Punta Cana, which literally translates to "kick ass".

“Punta” means Tip, Point; or, Cape in the geographical sense (as a bit of land that extends to water). “Punta Cana” basically means Point of the Cana or Cana Point. "Cana" is the colloquial name of a native palm species that was an important building material in the country. The thatched roofs of Punta Cana International Airport are made out of that.

I did some looking on VRBO.com found a Cool house with a pool on the beach for a reasonable amount of duckets in coasta rica !!!

One of my pet-sitting clients just got back from an entire month in Costa Rica. Apparently, it's a real paradise. The big question for me is, how hot and humid (and bug-infested) is this place, really?

I'm old and cranky. Tropical and jungly is very appealing, but I have my limits.

Ok pic 1-2 are the first afternoon
pic 3 is my coffie spot , hard to see but i facen the ocean watchen the suffers ,
pic 4 is our weather for the week :D

there was a house Gato that came Meowen up the first morning ,
turned its nose UP at the Gato food we got it , untill it figuered out thats what we had for it to eat

on the way to town we found a tree that was raining yellow flowers , Hell even the locals and truckers were stopping to take pics

pic 1 we were just out side of Juaco CR
pic 2 the rugged coast
Pic 3 this was our house from the back , NICE big pool
Pic 4 and yes we figuered out where the shade was !!!;)

we did an eco tour thingee , to see some of the flora and fauna
some of the frogs ( poisiness ) and the last pic is the kind of Toad you can lick and get off :yelsick:
No we didnt do it

we did a waterfall tour , 3 hrs , you best eat your wheates and be ready for a Treck , climen , hiken , swimmen , etc,,,
Pic 1 was our adventure buggy , a nice ratty old Land curser , we saw MANY of these down there ,
pic 2 was one of the water falls
pic 3 was another
it was a 6 out of 10 hike , tough but doable , it was fine untill we were going Down hill ( DAMN these Knees !!!!!!)
