OK, one more gimme....

sexobon 10-20-2018 09:09 PM

I had to do an image search on that one. I thought it was one of the Beatles in costume. Close; but, no cigar.

Carruthers 10-20-2018 11:01 PM

Looks like the future King Edward VIII.

Nowhere near sure, though!

sexobon 10-20-2018 11:06 PM

You mean my being a stinker and giving out that big hint was for naught?

Clodfobble 10-21-2018 01:08 AM

Groucho Marx?

fargon 10-21-2018 08:04 AM

He's an Englishman. I cheated.

The shame! The utter shame of it...

I shall now do the honourable thing.

I will return to my room and have an accident 'whilst cleaning my revolver'.

ETA: I now realise who it is but I'l leave it open for others.

In a plea of mitigation m'lud, I made the original post at 0501 having been awake since 0345.

The Doctor wouldn't approve. You'll have to throw yourself in front of a Dalek or something.

You’d have got it right if’n you’d had a cup of tea and a custard cream first! X

Yes, that thing on the floor behind him makes me wonder if that's a wax figure?

This one might be a tad tougher...

xoxoxoBruce 10-23-2018 02:24 PM

No takers, eh?

Gravdigr 10-23-2018 02:48 PM

I know I know who dat. It's gonna bother me when I find out.

xoxoxoBruce 10-23-2018 03:02 PM

Nope, white guy.

Gravdigr 10-23-2018 03:17 PM

Popdigr put in a guess: Walt Disney, but, I don't think so.

I was going with Walter Cronkite for a minute.

Gravdigr 10-23-2018 03:28 PM

I've wasted so much time on this. I'm gonna hate my self when I find out who dat.

Carruthers 10-23-2018 03:50 PM

Is there a degree of notoriety attached to this individual?

Criminality, perhaps?

Gravdigr 10-23-2018 04:15 PM

I keep wanting to think it's some scientist-type...

xoxoxoBruce 10-23-2018 07:27 PM

Hollywood.

sexobon 10-23-2018 07:36 PM

Popdigr isn't alone. Others have made that comparison. That's how I came across this ready made side by side. Now I know because of that; but, I never would have guessed it.

Carruthers 10-24-2018 05:57 AM

xoxoxoBruce 10-24-2018 07:33 AM

Not an actor.

fargon 10-24-2018 04:54 PM

i cheated, but I will say that he's an American.

xoxoxoBruce 10-24-2018 06:01 PM

The background looks like it's dusk but could be dawn because the Sun also rises.

First I identified the uniform period, then searched images for a famous former soldier from that period and it came up about halfway down the page. So here he is in civvies:

Attachment 65301

Carruthers 10-24-2018 10:27 PM

It's 0425. What, in the name of all that's holy, am I doing here?

Bingo, Hemingway it is.

Now you know that's Abe Lincoln but who is the short guy with him?

BigV 10-25-2018 01:23 AM

Poe

xoxoxoBruce 10-25-2018 03:10 AM

This should be tougher.

Clodfobble 10-25-2018 06:34 AM

Tesla?

Griff 10-25-2018 07:11 AM

Alexander Stephens

xoxoxoBruce 10-25-2018 08:24 AM

Nope, nope, children have heard of him.

Carruthers 10-25-2018 08:35 AM

Now who would this be?

Carruthers 10-25-2018 10:48 AM

Nikolai Tesla

fargon 10-25-2018 11:12 AM

Vincent van Gogh
And I didn't cheat.

xoxoxoBruce 10-25-2018 01:13 PM

1 Attachment(s)
Yes, Van Gogh with his ear.

Now this may be tough unless you've seen this picture before, most pictures are at an older age. She looks like a girl I once knew, but had a much different future.

Gravdigr 10-25-2018 03:11 PM

I just tried cheating and found that pic id'd as Mother Theresa.

I don't think that's Mother Theresa. Doesn't coincide w/any of her other younger pics.

Yeah, the pic is there, in a GIS, but, it's not even close to the others.
