Girl Scout Cookies

2 Attachment(s)
I read about a Girl Scout selling hundreds of boxes outside a pot store in CA on Superbowl Sunday. The Girl Scout Council wanted to know who it was to admonish her for selling cookies in a commercial district.
This is complete bullshit since, one, a scout selling that many boxes should be easy to find, and two every supermarket around here has a table with Scouts selling cookies outside the door at some time or other.

Anywho, not all GS cookies are created equally.

...WHAT? Those two Thin Mints are nothing alike, let alone the Smores. Why are they not having their subcontractors create the same product?

It's weird, we used to get Samoas but now we get Caramel Delights. I figured the scouts had copyright to all the cookies but maybe not.

Still waiting for 2035 and the formation of the Other-Gendered Scouts

Happy Monkey 02-11-2018 11:06 AM

Boy Scouts already accept all genders. At least some Girl Scout troops accept transgender girls. No need to wait til 2035.

xoxoxoBruce 02-11-2018 11:07 AM

Would that get your cookies off? :haha:

Happy Monkey 02-11-2018 11:24 AM

It's good, because the quality of a troop is so tied to its leadership. This allows girls to escape a bad Girl Scout troop to an excellent Boy Scout troop, or vice versa. Or, quality aside, if a Girl Scout troop is more aligned with making stuff, attending Maker Faires, and the Boy Scout Troop more aligned with high adventure, scouts can join the troop more aligned with their interests.

I thought I remembered the Girl Scout cookies being baked by Nabisco.
The I happened to stumble on a short film of two girl scouts calling on porn star John Holmes (Jonny Wadd) and sure enough the cookies had the Nabisco label in the corner on the front of the box.

Here's the proof. Do not click~NSFW~NSFNicePeople~Disgusting~Terrible~Causes swelling and Fever.

Bought a box of Thin Mints outside a local grocery store yesterday. Glad I'm in Little Brownie Bakers country - the cookies by the other baker don't look nearly as appetizing. :thumb:

Right, except for the S'mores Little Brownie Bakers wins.

I thought they had changed the name of Samoas due to some misguided PC Bullshite. Now I realize it's just the commies in my region choosing to distribute inferior cookies to save a thin dime. probably the same jerks that came up with the beverage tax.

glatt 02-14-2020 10:19 AM

Hi Dude111, did you move to a different location? Maybe you are used to the product made by one of the bakers and then moved to a region served by the other baker who uses different recipes.

Or maybe you just look at the past with rose colored glasses and ignore all the bad things from back then.

Remember the brown rivers where you had to breath through your mouth when you drove across a bridge so you wouldn't smell them?

Remember when the Cuyahoga River caught fire?

No, not that time.

Or that time.

Nor that other time...

At least 13 fires have been reported on the Cuyahoga River, the first occurring in 1868.

In my life when I ate refined sweets (cookies) and saw dentists a lot, G.S. cookies were delightful....no more cookies in my house for the last close to 10 yrs....and no dentist visits for about the same number of years....love love love not going after a lifetime of dentists and paying them ..... to put their kids thru college...

If you brush your teeth it's not a problem, that's the taking care of yourself you should practice.
