I decided to post a thread about this cake as much for my records as for your viewing pleasure in times of boredom. Today is all about the prep. I have made the parts for the eyes so they can dry and set. Soon i am going to turn some leftover white plastic icing blue. Hopefully it will turn out ok and i will save some money not buying ready made blue. For the yellow parts of Dave, i am just going to use butter cream frosting which i will make myself on thursday when its time to decorate.

I am in awe of people who construct cakes like this. I did cakes with some decorative icing when my kids were little, but nothing with fondant or characters. Looking forward to watching the process as well!

That's a great set of boobs, but the nipples are kind of dark

They've been enhanced, I see the scars. :haha:

Thanks everyone. I am nervous of my skills, but i feel much mor confident after this job. Maybe i will get more jobs down the track. At the rates i charged for this job, i made $20 for my time, which is not a lot since it took me a couple of hours to decorate, but i find my skills grow with every cake i do. Maybe one day i will be a superstar. lol
