Lowfat cottage cheese sucks ass

Lowfat cottage cheese sucks ass.

glatt 03-19-2013 12:42 PM

Cottage cheese is over rated. And I don't think it's rated that high to start with.

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 12:47 PM

I love cottage cheese.

I hate salad dressing.

So I make a salad from the lettuce and carrots and sunflower seeds on the salad bar, then bring my own cottage cheese in place of salad dressing.

Thought I'd help the diet along with low fat. It sucks. Ass.

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 01:02 PM

what did you expect, the whole cottage?
TFIBHAW.

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 01:04 PM

TFIBHAW:

Thanks, foot is be here all week?
Try fish it be here all week?
The food isn't being here all week?

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 02:35 PM

thy foot is bee hear all weak

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 02:37 PM

btw, reducing fat in you diet in the hopes of losing weight doesn't really work. Try eating some of everything, not most of everything. As I was told yesterday, "All you can eat, doesn't mean you should."

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 02:55 PM

If I'm eating salads for lunch (banana or string cheese for breakslow) then I think I'm probably following that philosophy a bit anyway. I may have a decent dinner some nights. I may not. Dinner may be beer. The trick being cut here, cut there. Give up here, take there.

I mean, if I were eating chocolate cake with sausage flowers and lard handles along WITH the lowfat cottage cheese, I don't expect it would help much either. :p:

Tonight I'm leaning towards Buffalo Chicken Chunks. And beer. ;)

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 03:33 PM

Beer: It's not for just breakfast any more.

I think your diet sounds perfect, myself. OR should I say, myself thinks yourself's diet sounds perfect?

The chix chunx with beer, does that come with fries and cole slaw? Is the chocolate cake part of the prix fixe or is it a la cart? I'd also like grilled chicken beasts on the seizure salad with bleuch ease dressing in besides.

I'll have another beer when you get a chance.

I have no problem believing that.

Because I know for a fact that regular cottage cheese also sucks ass.

:greenface

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 03:44 PM

Low fat everything sucks ass.

Gravdigr 03-19-2013 03:55 PM

I'm kinda ashamed to admit it, but I took to fat free milk pretty easy.

I don't like cole slaw either. Anything dressingy or condimenty (except the normals stuffs.) I don't know about the fries. We gots a new Wing place in my town and I haven't tried it yet.

I'll buy: you fly!

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 04:03 PM

Oh dude, pull it back. They have SARATOGA CHIPS.

I'm so there.

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 04:14 PM

Saratoga Chips? They're only 40 minutes away.

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 04:24 PM

Ahhhhh...Saratoga Springs NY!

When fresh and done right...they are the yummiest of all the potato family.

Nirvana 03-19-2013 05:54 PM

You can't diet on dairy and deep fried :smack: You need veg and pineapple and papaya no bananas :headshake:

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 06:28 PM

There be lots of veg involved. I like calcium and potassium.

Chicky chunx are for special occasions, when i haven't eaten in a day and a half.

I am addicted to buffaloaf sauce, i admit.

Darling, it's the beer you should object to. ;)

Besides, maybe i wanna bulk up. Going for He-woman of the year.

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 06:28 PM

Oh you can certainly diet on it. Probably won't lose any weight, but you can diet on it.

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 06:41 PM

Eh. It ain't pizza and doughnuts and soft pretzels with cheese. Imma keep it in my 'win' column. My metab isn't gone, yet.

true dat.

just use regular.

Sad to say, unless you're going to cut calories (beer), you need to work out to have a noticeable effect. Bigger engine burns more fuel....

infinite monkey 03-19-2013 08:05 PM

How funny that when i came back to look at this thread the cookie read: why ask why? Just drink beer.

Mmmm, cookie. Not really.

And ye of little faith in my moving around more campaign.

:) How IS that going? I walked/ran three miles today. Did you at least do your evening bicep curls evenly? :p

I was referring to the deep fried lard comment by Nirvana.

So far, I haven't seen anything in your diet that I'd want to live w/o.

Be sure never to drink light beer. Guinness or some decent ale will add the proper amount of nutrition in the form of vitamin LWL*.

orthodoc 03-19-2013 09:15 PM

Have to agree with Nirvana, here - lots of veggies. Some berries and stone/tree fruits. Some whole grains, some legumes, and it's all good. :)

footfootfoot 03-19-2013 09:30 PM

Can the veggies be wrapped in bacon, batter-dipped, then deep fried in lard?

j/k

Aliantha 03-19-2013 09:51 PM

Cottage cheese is meant to be a low fat alternative to begin with. Getting low fat cottage cheese seems like overkill to me. lol

footfootfoot 03-20-2013 01:42 AM

Speaking of beer: http://www.cellar.org/showpost.php?p...3&postcount=15

infinite monkey 03-20-2013 08:38 AM

There's the joie de vivre I've been looking for! A man, in a singular pursuit for the perfect beer. When you get famous I'll write your autobiography.

Now for some recursiveness. http://www.cellar.org/showthread.php?t=28682&page=2

I didn't get my wingies last night. Maybe tonight. I shall have to forage through the forests, looking for fairy trees and slight ripples in the otherwise still waters...all signs of mystical cookery, until I come across the entrance to the Magical Wings and Rings.

A cottage that good, you don't want to eat all at once!

From the Menu Of Flying Spaghetti Monster, second page, Lunch Specials, just below the splodge of Carbonara:
Quote:

Yea verily and I say unto thee: The cheese of the cottage that is without fat is unholy and sucketh of the ass. The cheese of the swiss is holy and mustest thou smite before thee all those who would unfatten it. Let not thine enemies, enemas or anenomes create false cheeses, nor let them preach of fruit. Henceforth Fr**t shall be known as the F word.
Ramen (with a little grated full fat cheddar or colby jack.)

Sundae 03-21-2013 09:51 AM

I like low fat cottage cheese. Bought some today. With pineapple.
I think it's a bit like drinking skimmed milk - once you get use to it, it's your go-to. Tastes a bit watery to start with, but if you try to switch back everything is SOOOOOO creamy!

footfootfoot 03-21-2013 12:33 PM

once you get used to it...

orthodoc 03-21-2013 12:37 PM

It only takes about three weeks to change your tastes; then you don't crave the fat and salt. But you can't have even a little in that time, or your brain just keeps craving.

footfootfoot 03-21-2013 01:04 PM

I had to go salt free for a year. When I would occasionally brush up against 'hidden' salt I was astounded at how salty some things were. Bread, for instance. The littlest amount of salt can go a long way if you aren't habituated to it.

Same with sugar, if you go off sweeteners for a while you notice it in things where it has no place being.

Still, the whole point of milk and cheese is the richness. (get it? the whole point?)

I still think that eating skimmed foods is like sneaking into the theater without paying. As I used to say at the bakery to folks who'd ask if we made whole wheat chocolate chip cookies (we did), "If you need the fiber from a whole wheat chocolate chip cookie, then you're eating too many cookies."

You know, glatt when I was a kid my dad was always telling stories about "When I was working on... " and I used to think to myself that eh was full of shit, no one could ever have worked at so many jobs. Then one day in my late 20s I was at a party talking to someone and I realized in the space of a conversation I'd just mentioned three different jobs I'd had and could see the look of disbelief on their face, and realized that my dad probably did have all those jobs.

I'm a restless soul. I've lived in over 50 different places, some as short as a month. The house I'm in now is the longest time I spent anywhere apart from where I did most of my childhood, but if I'm here in two years it will beat my childhood home, making the longest I've stayed anywhere about 14 years.

The shortest lived job I've ever had was three hours as a dishwasher in a restaurant in Glacier National Park. While I stuck with baking for about four years, it was at four different bakeries.

xoxoxoBruce 03-21-2013 03:20 PM

So you're saying you can't hold a job, eh. :haha:

glatt 03-21-2013 03:27 PM

Do odd jobs count?

I worked for about 4 hours helping move furniture and merchandise into a Victoria's Secret that was opening in a brand new mall. I got the job because I knew somebody who knew somebody. They didn't let me unpack the undies though. Just the lotions. The hardest part of that day was moving some antique china cabinet up a dead escalator because it didn't fit in the elevator. They were going to use it for a display case. Pain in the ass. But I made about $30 that day. Whoo!

infinite monkey 03-22-2013 09:34 AM

I think I've done a bit of everything too.

When the apocalypse comes, you'll want me for all your strawberry picking, cashiering, bartending, cooking, DOD contract assembly and testing, picture selling, porta-john assembly, and FA needs.

infinite monkey 03-22-2013 09:46 AM

I finally got chicken at the new wing place, yesterday after my doc appt.

I got chicken tenders with buffalo sauce...it was really good. Their saratoga chips, not so much. The ones at the country club were thin-sliced, lightly-browned, crispy, and warm pieces of potato heaven. These were more like kettle chips. Which I don't like. Too hard crunchy.
