(FYI, images like this (that aren't photoshopped) should probably go in the Quality Images section from now on).

By an agreements of Cellar Dwellars about a year ago, only Undertoad can post in IotD. He has an uncanny knack for finding good pictures.

That place is at the Lake of the Ozarks, in Central Missouri...I'm not surprised. :)

Undertoad 02-14-2003 11:00 AM

Although to be fair it was only really an "agreement" in that there was only one person who bitterly complained, and he's left us now.

elSicomoro 02-14-2003 11:19 AM

Yeah...fuck him. He pulled an Adam Zion.

dave 02-14-2003 12:06 PM

I maintain that he didn't leave -- God rescinded.

That Guy 02-14-2003 02:26 PM

What do expect -- he was Canadian, wasn't he?

warch 02-14-2003 04:30 PM

Hey! Watch it Bubba!;)

What do you mean by that? What happened to Adam?

Undertoad 02-14-2003 10:05 PM

He got mad at a thread and left, never to come back.

If it's the thread I remember, I was on the wrong side in that one back then... ah well. Live n learn. But it was mostly tw vs adam.

elSicomoro 02-14-2003 10:10 PM

This post by UT talks about it, and further posts after his will explain it further.

Undertoad 02-14-2003 10:46 PM

You remembered it better than I did!

Missouri also sports a couple of other such names such as "The Masters Baiter", a bait shop near Stockton Lake, and "Dick's In and Out", an auto repair shop here in KC.

Yes, we have no lives here in MO.

:D I didn't think it was a 'Quality' image so it didn't occur to me to post it in there. <giggle>

A good place to send stuff like this is to rob@ilovebacon.com

juju 02-15-2003 01:27 AM

Sycamore, thank you so much for that link. I have discovered Undertoad's confession!

My bias is set up by my sources, which are web logs and CNN. The web logs I read tend to lean neo-conservative and pro-Israel while CNN leans pro-Palestinian.

You DO watch/read CNN!! Ha ha ha!

Hmm.. OTOH.. maybe I shouldn't be antagonizing the sysop.

[edit - I just couldn't stand it any longer. :) ]

It's probably a better choice than antagoniZing someone like, say ... slang. Or me. ;)

juju 02-15-2003 02:26 AM

Why's that? What're YOU gonna do, commit me to the loony bin? :)

elSicomoro 02-15-2003 08:02 AM

Actually, according to UT, he has recently modified his news-viewing habits.

And don't start spelling British-style, or else you'll look like a big dork, like James does. And you're enough of a retard as it is. :)

Maybe, maybe not ...

I have all kinds of options.

(oh, you might want to know ... slang is MUCH more even tempered than I am ... )

elSicomoro 02-15-2003 12:16 PM

Hell hath no fury like an armed woman scorned...

Undertoad 02-15-2003 02:54 PM

It's funny to look back at that snapshot in time. My news habits change all the time. As I told Syc yesterday, nowadays I start with CNN until they say something totally stupid, at which point I switch to MSNBC until THEY say something totally stupid, at which point I switch to Fox (I do!) until...

...and you get the drift.

This only applies during the day while the focus is just general news. If I'm on the news channels at night it's only either Hardball or Newsnight.

I still follow the blogs, and when I have time, I find they are much better sources than the news channels. They point to all sorts of sources, so if you really read fast you really get a good broad overview. I'm reading blogs from all political angles nowadays.

Is that an M-1?

M1A1, actually. :)
