Jb, you've let the canvas limit your art. Those wings would be ok flowing off of the canvas. as it is, the angel looks to be trapped in a box.

You can paint over tempera if it is dry.

some color enhancement, stretch those wings out, duplicate the layer, drop a distant sun in, and flip layers, erase to give the lit from above/behind look....

btw the angel picture was a commission with a 50dollar payout and the only guideline was "faith feminine and fantasy" do you think I did a good job meeting the criteria??

It's lovely. But...my instant impression is of a male figure. Maybe that's just because I think of angels as masculine.

There's something quite feminine about the flowing lines though.
