Leaving Tornados in our wake!

Bugged out of town straight after the middle school swim meet, drove through a little thunder and lightning into the sunshine all the way across the state. That storm produced four tornados which touched down, one flattening a neighborhood less than 10 miles from out house. Golfball sized hail.......

First bomb threats and now this.......... we miss all the fun!

Clodfobble 03-15-2012 09:28 PM

Please don't get your house flattened.

monster 03-15-2012 09:37 PM

John Oberg was standing on his porch watching the storm about 6 p.m.. He said he saw insulation fly by and a lot of things swirling in the air.
Probably not quite as stupid as it sounds, but here's your Darwin Award Honorable Mention anyway.

Why didn't you just get a take-out (doggie) bag?

infinite monkey 03-16-2012 06:18 PM

omg you're so mean. I want to miniaturize myself and eat a tunnel through that filet. Maybe take a nap halfway through. That's what it is, right? The most perfect filet ever on the face of the earth?

OK, now I get the connection!

Clever, Mr Foot, clever.

Did you take that picture?

monster 03-16-2012 09:06 PM

there's a thin line between clever and clearly cracked

ZenGum 03-16-2012 09:45 PM

And most of us are a good ten feet on the wrong side of that line.

It's quite common, especially round here where you get a lot of warnings and not much really happens.

Emergency siren, sky turns green, let's go outside and see what all the fuss is about

So the guy I was working for today was telling me how he's a trained tornado spotter.....and totally missed it! And he lives a few hundred yards from where it finally lifted up. He showed me a vid of his son and friends in lacrosse helmets running out into the massive hail. While he was taking that video, the tornado was just a little north if only they'd've looked in that direction

monster 03-23-2012 07:59 PM

ANd now here we are in Harrison Ohio for another swim meet....and there's a tornado watch

monster 03-23-2012 08:00 PM

....I hope we don't spend the night huddled in the basement with the noisy sex couple next door.....
