So, we've got them on the sticks, now all we need is a roaring campfire and some hot chocolate right?

ZenGum 01-27-2012 05:51 AM

Worst constipation ever.

SPUCK 01-27-2012 06:06 AM

I looked at all his pictures.:nadkick: I thought they were lousy.. Composition was bad. Photographic quality was terrible. And the open-fire etiquette was horrible, bordering on criminal!:flamer:

This bird picture is by-far the best.(except for the blurrrrryness):bolt:

monster 01-27-2012 07:05 AM

I assumed the blurring was to do with the reposting here? That's really the finished product?

I tried to go look at the website but the "albums" didn't make any sense and the horizontal scroll was irritating, so I stopped.

Zen, funny man...... now I definitely don't want to roast them over the fire

glatt 01-27-2012 07:36 AM

I went and looked at all the pictures on the site. There were some good ones in there. But he sure does like the double exposure, lens flare, etc. special effects.

dmg1969 01-27-2012 11:42 AM

I was not particularly impressed with his photography. Sure, there were a few nice ones here and there. But, a lot of his photos, at least to me, seem very amateurish. Many of them are just downright uninteresting subject matter. Some are actually blurry to the point of being unrecognizable. Why on earth would you post something like that on your website? Those get deleted right off my camera. That's what's great...anyone can start a website and call themselves a photographer.

Nirvana 01-27-2012 11:53 AM

ouch well he is dead and I liked this photo so there

blueboy56 01-27-2012 11:58 AM

I'm inclined to agree with most of the entries. There is nothing special about these photos. They look like something an average middle school student would generate in a beginning photo class.

It's all the same bird. I like the composition, but it's just a basic Photoshop job.

One bird, seven sticks...?

footfootfoot 01-27-2012 12:45 PM

Pussy Willow?
I'll get my coat.

classicman 01-27-2012 02:15 PM

glatt FTW. I downloaded it and looking closer, the tails tell the tale.

Ah geeees man!!

His pictures are lousy but you didn't have to kill him!:thepain:

I will be more cautious posting here in the future.

Because he's an artist that uses a camera, rather than a photographer. Not my cuppa tea, but if he's producing what he envisions in his head then he's successful.

What do they say? (I haven't got the patience to look for the original.) ;)

They say, "Dead tails tell no men."

infinite monkey 01-29-2012 12:04 AM

If you put a blank sheet music page behind them, what song would they sing?

How far will I fall before I break?
(So sweet, completely)
It scares me how much I enjoy my way-
(A way not easy)

The white cliffs of dovveerrr...

monster 01-29-2012 10:18 PM

is that kind of like eggs over ham?

SPUCK 01-30-2012 05:39 AM

So are those really shopped? I'm thinking they are since they're all looking in the same exact direction.

glatt 01-30-2012 07:18 AM

There's no question that multiple copies of the same bird are pasted into the picture. They all have the same position, although some have been flipped horizontally. If you look at any one detail on the bird that might be distinctive, like the tail feathers as classic mentioned, or the wrinkle next to the eye, and you compare that feature to the other copies of the bird, they are all identical. Also, once you get good at noticing artifacts, you can also see a faint blurriness surrounding the birds, especially near their heads. These artifacts are where the background just looks a little fuzzy. The artifacts in this image aren't very obvious, but I can see artifacts surrounding 5 of the 7 birds. It doesn't mean the remaining two aren't shopped, just that pasting them in worked better there.

It's possible that there was one bird in the picture originally, and the other 6 were pasted in, or that all 7 were pasted into the image from another picture.

SPUCK 01-31-2012 05:46 AM

I see it now.. Oh yeah! And what's the chances all their bodies are pointed the same direction - away! Watching the red wing black birds around here, they all land in different directions so they all protect each other better, with 360 viewing. Thanks glatt.

I must say that its interesting seeing MY image on this post and that another photographer would show it. It was an experiment in blue and layers with photoshop. Funny how folks steal images and claim them to get attention. If you want to see more of my work its at www.patrickclark.com and www.facebook.com/westernmontana I hope you become a fan on the fb site. Thank you! Patrick

Gravdigr 02-17-2014 03:52 PM

:welcome: to the Cellar, Mr. Clark!

ETA: Nice photos, btw.

Gravdigr 02-17-2014 03:59 PM

PatClark, if you wanted the photo removed, I'm sure one of our moderators would be glad to make that happen.

footfootfoot 02-18-2014 11:35 AM

Pussy willows?
I'll get my coat...

Sundae 02-18-2014 01:25 PM

Stop it.
Stop it.

footfootfoot 02-18-2014 01:50 PM

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I wish we were allowed to show this video in clinics and ERs. SO much difficulty avoided!

Sundae 02-21-2014 05:29 AM

She looks like she's had Botox. Which is a waste of money if she always dresses like that...
Just sayin'

Tell Foot I'll bring his coat out with me.
