The Metacritic reviews are lukewarm on MW3 on the PC actually!

I'm up and running on the new video card and BF3 is, like, too stunning for me right now. It's different gameplay than I'm used to. It's jarring.

Absolutely you do. Destructible environments/buildings, loads of fun vehicles to drive (jeeps, boats, tanks, jets, helicopters, APCs), 4 different very customizable classes that work towards team-based play, 64v64 gameplay on huge maps or down to 12v12 if you want small group games, best graphics engine out there powering the game for stunning visuals, and every little detail you can imagine like the sound of bits of rubble raining down around you, from that tank shell that just blew open a wall across the street from you.

Oh yeah, MW3 has none of the above. Hands down BF3 is the way to go.
And yes each platform is only able to play within that platform. No PC to xbox, etc.

OK BF3 is still a problem for me as it fails to draw my gun half the time.

It's not at all laggy and the frame rates are acceptable, but for some reason it leaves me with crosshairs, no movement, and I'm gut-shot for not being able to return accurate fire...

I want to be part of a Cellar Squad SO MUCH.
Even if I'm behind the front lines, helping write letters home and asssigning clothes into the right kit-bags. Which resembles my worl IRL of course.

But I cannot understand a word you say.
So I guess I have to pass.

I've never tried sniping a marine, but I reckon you want to make sure your first shot counts. I doubt you'd get many more after that.

yeah it has a Lazer range finder that Calculates the distance and sets up an Air burst , and yeah its technically a NOOB TUBE , but its still fun :)

Oh man, Steam is addictive. They run good sales on a regular basis, and sell lots of small-time games for under $5.... both the stepkids have their own Steam accounts so Mr. Clod could keep their stuff separate from all the little games he buys.

Zippy, do you find that your skills in real combat transfer over to games like these? does your military training and experience help?

Mon , One of the reasons Phlyt and I started this was to have a CHANCE , ever have 20 or so 12 year olds come after you , its damn near impossible to get any where in multilayer now days

yeah... i NEVER see it coming. the one time I saw zippy before he saw me, he still waxed me. i just stink at it. I think I might be better with a controller. I'll have to look into getting an xbox style controller for my laptop.

he was bitching about the keyboard the whole time he played. I just ordered an xbox ctrlr for pc. I'll hook up my lap top to the big tv with hdmi, and hopefully my headset for the regular xbox controllers will work with the new one... then we'll see about poking a few holes in you, sir.

No no they say keyboard+mouse remains a better controller than xbox-style controllers, in first-person shooty games.

You just have to get used to the game and get used to using the mouse that way.
