Congratulations..
You have now met me. I hope you are all having a fine day/night and that you're all making lots of money?
Anyway I bumbled my way here through pure boredem and have this thirst for talking to people I can't see at the moment. I'm struggling to have any decent conversation with any human I am in contact with lately and, crazy as it may seem, thought talking to any number of lunatics, scholars, jail birds or a mix of them all might be interesting. Give me your best shot, I'm quite content talking about anything and hopefully i get something out of you people and hopefully you get something out of me. First, a little on myself.... I'm from Australia. I work too hard. I need a beer. Enjoy your day and hopefully meet again!! :D |

Anyway, welcome! |
I think s/he has us pretty much pegged with that ...

G'day F&M. Owyagoin?
Feel up for a quiz? 1. Which code of footy? 2. Holdens or Fords? 3. How many days will your local supermarket be open between now and Wednesday? 4. What natural disaster affected your area most recently? 5. Which are scarier: drop-bears, trap-door wombats or funnel-web spiders? |
Haha sorry I'm ALWAYS on the mark when it comes to picking up traits of message board members, being the online social expert I am.
I'm throwing caution to the wind and saying that you all fall into the jail bird sub-group?? |
Mate..
1 - In my eyes there's only one code of footy, AFL. West Coast Eagles to be precise. For you.. Port or Crows?? 2 - Holden. Dad owned them, I've owned them. I guess one of those great Aussie family things passed down the generations, however, the Holden or Ford debate is obsolete nowadays, seeing as it doesnt really mean anything anymore compared to the old days ya know? But it's still a relavent aussie question haha. Nice work. 3 - Dunno, I'll ask the missus, but the pubs open so steak sangas are always on the menu.. 4 - Being from Perth, we wouldnt even know what the words natural disaster even mean. I actually genuinely believe Perth isn't a real place.. It's like a Pure Blonde commercial over here. Although we kind of have this ongoing problem in that it hasn't rained in 349 years and that makes me thirsty. 5 - I actually just had my girlfriends parents over from europe a couple months ago who could hardly speak english, told them we have crocodiles in the Swan River and they believed me the entire time. Taking them crabbing was the funniest thing I've ever seen because they were in constant fear of their life. The most dangerous living thing in the Swan River is ducks. |
you know her?

Hi Fum! |
F&M = Finite Monkey?
Oh no, we're in trouble now! |
Will we implode?
:bolt: |
FnM, welcome on board.
We need another Aussie like we need a hole in the head, but don't let that worry you. After all, we need somewhere to put the beer. And I have to say I don't care if you ARE a sock puppet. I like you. |
I don't care if you are a cardboard box, as long as you're one of those cardboard boxes with something interesting to say..
You know maybe a good story, one of those boxes that fell off a truck and ended up stuck in the middle of a freeway causing all sorts of headaches until a homeless person picks you up and uses you for occupancy. Now if you're one of those boxes or similar, TALK TO ME, because i want the insight. I want to know what its like to be a box like that, it must be amazing to live the life that you have? I'm losing it.. |
I like this guy.

Here's my answer for you, then, F&M.
1. Which code of footy? AFL, strangely conflicted between Crows and Power. Long story, but I'm an odd mix or working class and middle class. I play touch rugby though, and like to watch a bit of union, too. 2. Holdens or Fords? Holdens. Never owned either (except a "holden apollo" which is a rebadged camry) but living in Adelaide ... also I quite like the shape of the recent commodores. And the Monaro is awesome. 3. How many days will your local supermarket be open between now and Wednesday? Bloody ONE!. Closed Friday, Sunday, Monday (all for easter) and Tuesday (ANZAC day). Bloody Adelaide shopping hours laws. 4. What natural disaster affected your area most recently? Not a lot here either. It was a mild and somewhat wet summer, so the worst we got was a few locusts. I guess before that it was the drought. Didn't you guys have fires there this summer? 5. Which are scarier: drop-bears, trap-door wombats or funnel-web spiders? Trap-door wombats. Funnel-web spiders can be dealt with by means of a shovel, and drop-bears kept off by generous applications of vegemite to the head. Nothing can save you from a trappie, though. Crocs in the Swan river ... :lol2: you joker! |
I feel like Minnie Pearl tonite!
Howdeeeeee! :) |
Hang on a minute!

Gives me a new Hobo-hunting idea, too.
Nice big cardboard box in a quiet alley, with half a bottle of moonshine therein ... Hobo finds and drinks himself into stupor ... move box onto freeway, take bets on what happens and how long until it does... Kinda sporting, no? |
Seems like the lazy man's approach to killin' hobos. More sporting to lure them in naurally. Like a job and a face.
|
I lure my hobos in with a hobo mating call whistle. Fresh from wild are pretty good, but sometime I pen them up and feed them good grain for a few weeks to fatten them up. Have to have a good strong pen though, and NEVER go inside with them. They are wily beasts and tough as the dickens. Sometimes we'll carve one up for eating and find 5 or 10 slugs from previous times that had healed up!
Oh...and hello eff&em. |
I don't believe in killing hobos for sport.
However if I find a fresh dead one I don't have a problem taking him home to keep me company. |

I was just wondering if he was a playa, that's all.
You're probably right, though. |
Did you leave us? Damnit....another one bites the dust.

We need you!
