Breakfast
This is the ‘rents "standard special": Grilled bacon, sausage, baked beans, poached egg, toast & marmalade, tea (and an extra coffee for Dad) orange juice Mine Cereal, de-caff tea Dinner Roast turkey crown, stuffing, chipolatas wrapped in bacon*, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes/ parsnips/ onion, sprouts, carrots, peas, gravy and cranberry sauce (optional) Christmas pudding, soused in brandy and set alight, Pavlova Cheese board (includes biscuits ie crackers) After Eights/ liqueur chocolates Liqueurs Tea Cold meats, cheese board, sliced bread and butter, pickles**, salad, pate, mince pies *to me, Pigs in Blankets are sausages wrapped in bread. I have been invited to a friend's home for Christmas Dinner. She has announced that she is not cooking this year, has stated that she is buying a dinner outright, but won't reveal where she's getting it. I asked if she'd ordered the dinner from Acme, as I've had that in the past and it is quite good, but nope. Remains a mystery.

French toast w strawberrys
A small turkey with the trimmings. Christmas eve is gift giving to extended family and an extended family meal together Italian style. I love giving gifts but I am just not too into eating. I would be happy with the breakfast and that's all. |

Haven't decided for sure yet...probably the usual, which, for us, is Steak (the best we can find), ceasar salad, sauteed mushrooms, corn on the cob, dinner rolls, green veggie of some sort and baked/scalloped or similar potatoes. Pie for dessert.
I see a couple french toasts up there....haven't made that in years, good idea for breakfast! |

Tamales (pork, and green chile with cheese) & breakfast tacos: guests' choice of eggs, potatoes, bacon, cheese, salsas, and/or guacamole, wrapped in either flour or corn tortillas. Mr. Clod is cooking dinner on Christmas. I have no clue what he's making, and I strongly suspect he does not either. |

For Dinner Hubby is making 1 inch thick rib eye steaks with a thick alfredo ish sauce, with 2 lbs of fresh king crab legs and shrimp, with cauliflower with a white wine cheese sauce, brushetta and home made buns. Blueberry cheesecake, butterscotch fudge and cream puffs for dessert. |
I got fed stupid last night.
Ham, meatloaf, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing (not sure I understood that one, not a drop of poultry on the table), salad served in an adorable bread wreath, red lentil and barley soup, corn pudding, green beans almondine, triple chocolate torte, wine. Lots of wine. Not necessarily in that order. |
