the bedbug thing is freaking me out
Been reading the news about this, and --ugh. Very scary and gross.
I don't have them--yet. But any travel and it seems like you could bring them home. Is it only a matter of time before they spread everywhere? http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...+International |
Don't think about it. They thrive on fear.
|
They're republicans.
|
Did you know that they have been found on library books? You check a book out and then BLAM! your house is infested.
|
Also, you need to make sure your AV software has the bedbud update. Yesterday's facebook hack was thought to be bedbug related.
|
Bedbugging. That what you kids are calling it these days, eh?

Bedbugs are liberal tit suckers?
|
tit, cock, whatever they can get......
|
Why don't they go out and work for their flesh? I bet most of them are able-bodied bedbugs who could contribute to society instead of standing around with their entitlement mentality, clogging up the health care system and eating government knees.
|
It's the damn mexican vampires who will suck blood for a pittance of cash under the table no benefits required. That and the outsourcing to India. An honest bedbug today is forced into the hobo handout lifestyle. not all hobos are liberals, you know, although the are all tree huggers. and dead. at least all the ones you know are....
|
I dont' have to worry about the damn mexican bedbugs. I stopped them at the boarder.
 I slay me. |

BB's hide from light in dark places, and cardboard makes for great BB bedrooms.
A simple do-it-yourself BB monitor can be made with an index card, a piece of cardboard, and some double-sticky tape. Put it under the bed near the headboard and check for BB poo weekly. You'll have either BB's or peace of mind ! Here a pic and link of one commercial model. |
You can SEE bb poo?
How big are these suckers anyway? :shudder: |
very cool Lamp. I think I might make one and check it out.

OK, I think I'm going to take the necessaries to check for bedbugs when I go to a hotel for a hockey tourney next month. Joking aside, bedbugs are something I could happily live without. Seems the main thing to do, though, it make sure everything goes in a hot wash and dry when you get home. Similar precautions to lice alerts.
|
Or drink a lot, so if they bite you they can't hide in your luggage, 'cause you'll hear 'em burpin' and fartin'.;)
|
Quite a few of the residential programs nearby have had bedbug infestations, but I believe they have all been declared "under control." One of my frequent callers has had an infestation, but it's not as easy to get a rooming house full of crazy people to comply with all the washing and cleaning that's necessary to eradicate them.

Talk about a real threat - the stink bug. Bill Joel defined it in his song Allentown.

This would be one of those times when I really, really don't understand you.
|
There's an asian stink bug invasion going on in the US right now.
|
Yeah, I've had tons of them for the last year. But seeing as these things have been around for as long as I can remember, I'd call it a population explosion, rather than an invasion.
|
but stinkbugs don't live in your bed and suck your blood.

I have no idea what stink bug you have seen. I have never seen one. But around 2000, I was seeing this Asian stink bug in swarms. And had never seen it before. |

Getting rid of bedbugs is serious work. |
A month ago while camping I had my first encounter with the horrible creatures. A hundred or so bites, mostly in underwear region since it was the only place I didn't spray down with Deet. Please don't waste time asking personal questions about where they bit me, the answer would be yes. I had to take the steroid pack and doxycycline. Horrible expierence. Be afraid...be very afraid.
And yes, all clothes, sleeping bag, etc. were torched with fire and covered with lime and then covered with a foot of dirt, then sprayed down with methyl parathion. I shouldv'e thrown a clove of garlic on the pile for good measure. |
Where did they come from, the sleeping bag?
|
Bed Bugs are becoming the next Cockroaches. Pesky little shits.
