Is this thing on?
Live turtle cam in my man-cave:
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/baskingcam You could even hear me listing to Howard Stern or typing, or scratching my ass or whatever. If it works. Let me know if it works. |
Yes, it's on.
Make him/her move. |
Are you going to let it go 24/7 forever?
He's totally not interested in this situation... he just wants to get comfy. His heat bulb went out and I didn't notice for two days, so he got all antsy.
I don't know about that... I was an attention whore 20 years ago, but I got better.
I guess if it's your mancave, there's no chance you and J ever have sex in there, is there?
I'm watching it now... say something to me! |
hee hee
Sneezing is not the same as saying something.
you leave the tv on for company?
YAY!
I had to turn my volume way up, but I caught it this time. :) |
It's a radio show. I do spend most of the time listening to Howard or various podcasts these days.
hee hee
yer turtle looks Supremely Unimpressed
*sploosh* off he goes for a swim.
Hey, is that Underturtle?
He's fast. |
Lookout for the giant hand, Underturtle!
My whole world shook!
That's one of the things I've learned about the aquatic turtle/terrapin: they have a slow reputation, but they can sprint when they want to.
(added thermometer) |
Meat thermometer?
Taping on the screen is a lot less satisfying then taping on the glass.
But I see you.. |
Been watching for 10 minutes - where is he hiding?
Quote:
He spends about 2/3rds of the time basking, on and off, during basking hours (roughly 9:30 AM - 9:30 PM EST).
Until he gets back on, I'll reduce the video quality and raise the audio quality.
Just listening to the water is relaxing. Excuse me, I have to pee.
Here he is.
In high res.
Cool!
What is everyone beeping about? |
HAAHHAHA I saw him. Very cool.
Where'd he go? Is he under the rock? It's moving!
Bless you!
Is the TV on?
Radio. Howard Stern show, next I will figure out what to put on... do you want the volume lower or higher...?
Ohhhh, I just wondered if you and J talked that much to each other that seriously and intently all the time! Then I thought it might be the TV. :p:
:lmao:
This is like that stealth cat video. I'll look away for a while, and UnderTurtle either disappears or reappears when I go back. I never have actually seen him move. |
He looks like he's singing. You should dub a song over it.
I saw him move. And I hear Robin.
:) He looks to be warming up the old voice box for something.
Do you think he knows we're watching? It's like he's staring RIGHT AT ME!
He puts his big back feet out to get more warmth from the light.
What's the jiggly thing at the bottom of the picture?
Water. The thing the turtle is on is a floating plastic log. It's anchored to the side of the aquarium by the two black vertical sticks.
He's so cute.
I wondered why that "rock" was moving earlier. |
I think he was nudging it from below at one point. He's actually quite frisky today!
The trickling water sound is nice. can you leave this up 24/7 so I can sleep to it?
I saw him! He is sitting on the rock. He's hiding. Maybe taking a snooze.
Srsly? I can easily leave it up, although when the light goes out, the video will be useless.
i heard your doggie barking
you lurkers should register for the chat thing
it's too dark to see!
If you let your Turtle listen to Howard Stern all the time, it will grow up jaded and tragic.
On the same circuit as his main light you should wire in a tiny red indicator light next to a sign that says 'on air.'
edit: link |
Yes, omg.
I missed the show. All I got was some guy sneezing and coughing in the dark.
that's not 'some guy'
that's the turlte. If it didn't smoke a pipe like Sherlock Holmes, I bet it wouldn't cough and sneeze like that. |
Damn, off air...
Damn ... I get there and all there is is some cold chat from LJ and Sqrl and a note about barkingtoad ... ?
I put it back on.
I saw one! Briefly ...
Oh there is only one. T'other one died.
