Nestle Juicy Juice Kiwi-Strawberry

Nectar of the freaking Gods.

jinx 05-12-2010 06:00 PM

I hate all things kiwi.

Cicero 05-12-2010 10:22 PM

Like. I was told it was filled with too many sugars, don't care. :)

monster 05-12-2010 11:10 PM

How about Nestle actively discourages breastfeeding in third world countries so they can sell more formula?

xoxoxoBruce 05-13-2010 12:08 AM

Damn Europeans.

Fruit? Lamb?! Shoe polish?!? Crowded House?!?!?!?!

Shame on you.
When my ship comes in I'll take you and the bairns to Lord of the Rings country and change your mind.
Jim had best stay at work.... it's safer that way.

My ex-sis-in-law loves the Kiwis: all her jokes, theme parties, events are new to them, or were new to them at first launching! And they're so enthusiastic to try new things.

Jinx and LJ have what is sometimes referred to as a "replacement set."

As I approach 50 I find it increasingly difficult to drink something called "Juicy Juice."

That being said, I made a choice a couple of weeks or so ago in a convenience store to purchase a product called "Belly Washers" because:

1. It was 100% Juice and the MinuteMaid equivalent was <7% juice and added both high fructose corn syrup and Splenda.

2. The sports cap featured HelloKitty in a cowgirl outfit.

The rest is irrelevant. :haha:

I didn't know there was actually any juice in juicy juice.

Not only that. I didn't think kids needed a cute name to drink juice.

Undertoad 05-13-2010 03:18 PM

Sure there's juice in Juicy Juice. It's from the fruit of the juicy tree.

Clodfobble 05-13-2010 04:22 PM

Their tagline used to be "100% juice for 100% kids," but that policy may have changed.

Gravdigr 05-13-2010 04:26 PM

I'm still lost...

Out of necessity, I'm sure it has...as kids these days are maybe 96% kid, at best.

skysidhe 05-13-2010 04:57 PM

ok well....it does have juice but when buying a 100% of a particular flavor you might just be getting a whole lot of apple juice mostly.

2. What makes Juicy Juice 100% juice?

Regulations allow for the addition of non-juice ingredients to a 100% juice product if they do not decrease the amount of juice soluble solids.

Sorry. I am a juice snob. :(

Clodfobble 05-13-2010 05:01 PM

I'm even more of one: I think all fruit juice is sickeningly sweet. Didn't like it when I was a kid, either. No one in my house drinks straight juice except for my stepkids.

skysidhe 05-13-2010 05:24 PM

I agree. It IS sweet. Sometimes I try to drink 100 blueberry/cranberry or pomegranate for my health but my taste buds rebel.

That's why I think selling kids apple diluted drinks with a cute name kids cheat them out of the whole sweet tang experience of 100 percent real other flavors.

I can do 100 % grape juice once a year or so and I love unfiltered hard pressed apple juice you can buy around harvest time. Sometimes I crave it. Infact just thinking about it makes me thirsty. It's delicious.

I believe the mix is 100% juice, but not necessarily the juice you think you're getting ... probably mostly apple juice (higher sweetness) regardless of flavor. I don't have any containers, so I can't verify.

EDIT: I see that skysidhe has beaten me to this nugget of information.
