Was fun! It was so great to meet the monster and beest clan (the kids are SO freakin' adorable!!) and shawnee was just as I imagined she'd be! Very lovely, all around!

I'm so glad we all got together. The internet brings together people who probably would have otherwise never met, and I for one am very happy about that! :)

I just wanted to say again how much I enjoyed meeting everyone: Bri, mon, beest, and the kids (and the kids are charmers...nice kids!)

I'm actually a little shy about these kinds of things IRL and I could have spent so much more time with these really cool and real people.

Have to say, for a shy girl ....that Shawnee knows flipping everyone! couldn't manage three words before someone interupted to say hi. :lol: Beest says you need to go to that place more often, Shaw -clearly they miss you!

Ha ha...you missed some glares focused at me because glarers in a place like that really only like to glare: no interaction needed. haggis!

I know another kid about her age, the daughter of one of my cow orkers, who has the same different colored eyes. Needless to say, like your daugher, she is unique and beautiful and smarter than crap!

It's the Dublin Pub, near the Oregon District in Dayton (a charming little area.)

It looks very charming. Real , like you can just go in and kick up your feet almost.

Yikes! I had to post again right away my post count was ominous!:eek:

There are a lot of nice places along there. The OD itself has a few small bars that my ex and I frequented for a many years because there was live music. The Nite Owl always had blues and jazz type music. Gilly's on the other end of the OD, was a larger venue and had such acts as Tom Scott and Najee and Dianne Schuur.

I say all this in past tense because it was some time ago. I don't know if they still have the quality music, but I assume so. I guess Mr Gillotti (sp?) is still bringing jazz into Gilly's.

The OD also has cute shops set along a brick street. Oh, and I think a couple "adult" stores. :lol:

There are some beautiful homes in the residential area.

Hey, it's only been 4 years so far....

Ahem, there was talk of a certain couple of locals making a roadtrip to Philly...in the future. ;)

Come to a local nasty bar and see my band! We're somewhere every two weeks in the fall. Calendar (apologies for the website, it was not one of mine.)

That was our plan, come when your band is playing.

I wouldn't expect this until sometime after the first of the year, though, with my schedule.

I will buy the first pitcher.
