Hello

My name is David, I am a new truck driver and Brian R. is my trainer. I am a retired police officer from metro Atlanta, 24 years. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and I wll do my best to answer them fro you.

monster 05-09-2009 10:09 PM

did you ever accept sexual favors in return for overlooking an offence?

and... oh Hai! welcome!

monster 05-09-2009 10:11 PM

oh wait, I have more questions.

What % of the movies brian has on board are not porn?

Does Brian ever not look startled?

how many dogs have you adopted on your current journey?

lostncny 05-09-2009 10:14 PM

sexual favors

Sadly to say, I was one of the honest ones who didn't do that. All though I was tempted a few times !!!!!! If she still wanted to go out after she paid the ticket then I would but only when I was single!!

lostncny 05-09-2009 10:17 PM

QUestions

All are not porn, no animals yet, not startled yet! Yet I have only been here a week, its still early!!

morethanpretty 05-09-2009 10:44 PM

Oh so you're not the one who just totalled their own truck. Well I guess thats good.

Why are you lost north carolina new york?
Are you single now?
You were honest about not takin sexual favors, but do you know where to get all the best dope?
Why a truck driver?
Do you like cats or dogs more?
If you saw a kid (you don't know them) in the street, and you're much loved pet you raised on a bottle, but you could only save one...which would you save?

lostncny 05-09-2009 10:50 PM

Well, it's lost in central new york, where I use to live after I got divorced, so I am still single.I knew where the most popular dealers were but never used dope. Just wanted to try some type of different profession. Dogs, allergic to cats unles I take allergy meds. It would be the child, no doubt. A child is something precious and should always be saved no matter what the cicumstances, or situation.

morethanpretty 05-09-2009 10:58 PM

Sis n law, sis and i just had this convo. Sis n law and I decided the her dog, jake, would have to be saved. We're horrible people according to my sister. Jake is like sis n law's kid, so I think its justified.

lostncny 05-09-2009 11:20 PM

Your sister has her complex set of moral standards and you and your sis in law have yours, neither is right nor neither is wrong according to each person. If you think it is justified then you are right and your sis according to her is also right. No one is horrible for having their own ideas about things like that so dont feel bad about what you would do. Each one is moral in the sense you would want to save one of them, at least you want to save one.

morethanpretty 05-09-2009 11:23 PM

Hmm, good answer.

Perhaps a little too good.

ZenGum 05-09-2009 11:27 PM

Moral relativism can be very dangerous. Many evildoers have convinced themselves that they were right.

Oh and Hi! Lostncny!

(Although I'm a bit worried about a guy who calls himself "lost" and is becoming a truck driver... hmmm...)

lostncny 05-09-2009 11:28 PM

WHy do you say a little to good? WHen you have seen the things I have seen as a cop your philosophy might change and you would probably see things totally different, dont you think??

lostncny 05-09-2009 11:36 PM

I was lost when in new york but now I am found ! So truebut I dont know about you but I fought and lost a lot of friends who died so people could have the right to have their own ideas as long as they are "not" forced on someone else to force them to believe in their ideals.

morethanpretty 05-09-2009 11:37 PM

I said it to joke.

I like to think I'm open minded already, I don't need to see the things a cop has to make me so. I'm just me, and since I know that people need an open mind to deal with who I am, I try to keep an open mind to deal with who they are.

BrianR 05-09-2009 11:38 PM

Sheesh, he's not here an hour and already stirring the pot.

I knew he'd fit right in!

lostncny 05-09-2009 11:39 PM

Thats fair, let people be who they are and all you ask of anyone else is the same. Very good !! I dont take too awful much seriously so dont think I was offended, because I wasn't, ok??

morethanpretty 05-09-2009 11:43 PM

Did not think you were offended. I don't much feel like making real sentences thats all.

Brian, don't be gettin all cocky now.
Get it?
Huh?
Do ya?

I said COCK!

lostncny 05-09-2009 11:54 PM

No problem, just trying to answer your questions the best way I know how.

Alluvial 05-10-2009 12:11 AM

Hi lost ... I would certainly be lost in NY if I were there.

Is every street in Atlanta are named Peachtree street?

How do you like Montgomery?

Flint 05-10-2009 12:12 AM

Run away, David. Run away, and never look back.

lostncny 05-10-2009 12:21 AM

Just in downtown and then its just every other street..lol..Montgomery is an ok place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there because there is nothing there. I was there to help take care of my mother who died just last year. So now I have nothing really to hold me and now I am trying to be a truck driver.
WHat am I supposed to run from flint??..lol

Alluvial 05-10-2009 12:22 AM

My daughter's b/f recently moved to Montgomery from Birmingham and I don't think he likes it too much either.

I guess you are in driving school there?

lostncny 05-10-2009 12:44 AM

No I am already finished with school and am with Werner and with a trainer to learn how they want me to drive....lol...Right now I am in Illinois just south of CHicago but will be back in Montgomery in about a month. Have to be back to take cqare of some business matters.

Beestie 05-10-2009 01:07 AM

Hello, lostncny - welcome to the Cellar.

How long were you an officer in Atlanta? What was your first year on duty in ATL? I'd like to find the officer who found my wallet in a trash can at Altanta Fulton County stadium and called me at 3:47am to come get it from HQ. It was stolen from my car about a week or two earlier.

Back in 1988.

lostncny 05-10-2009 01:24 AM

24 years, started in 1977. Yep, there are some good ones out there. Good and bad in every profession but the bad get more attention...lol

Beestie 05-10-2009 01:58 AM

1977? - Atlanta was a small town back then! I moved there in 1980 to go to GT. I made the mistake of living in Little Five Points during the late 80s. Once I looked out my window (first floor next to the street) and saw two guys in my car trying to hotwire it.

I liked living in L5P but there was a price.

xoxoxoBruce 05-10-2009 02:14 AM

In '77 Atlanta was still burning wasn't it? :haha:
Welcome to the Cellar, lostncny. :D
You'll find lots of nice people here, not like that tyrant trainer.

DanaC 05-10-2009 03:47 AM

*chuckles* Yep, straight into the mix an' no mistake.

Hallo lost, and welcome to our little home from home.

On the dog or child question...though every instinct in my body would make me want to save my beastie, I suspect I'd reach for the child. Sat here, right now, I feel like I'd reach for my dog. But I suspect the reality, even for those who think they'd save their beloved pet, is that the human brain is set up to look to the child.

Sundae 05-10-2009 04:33 AM

I'm evil. I'd save Diz.
The child's parents are responsible for their own child - why should I live with the grief that I killed my beloved cat? Anyway, it might grow up to vote Tory.

DanaC 05-10-2009 04:37 AM

Good god, I never thought of that.

capnhowdy 05-10-2009 08:21 AM

Welcome, Lost.....

Question:
How long does it take to learn to piss in a 20 oz soda bottle without pissing your pants and wrecking?
Question:
When you toss them out of the truck with the lid on, is this a random act or actually strategic?
One more:
Why the hell do you put the cap back on the bottle in the first place?

lostncny 05-10-2009 11:30 AM

We use a 32 oz gator ade bottle and u keep the lid on to keep it from splattering on the truck. But since we dont litter we dont have to worry about that...
