5th time's the charm?
So, beautiful Daughter No. 1 just told me she thought she was pregnant with her 5th child, a situation she and her husband did not want. She's got 4 girls, and the youngest will enter pre-school in the fall. She was looking forward to moving on to different phases of her life.
There are circumstances which give weight to the "meant to be" scenario. They were careful, and this is an accident, but -- she's in shock, but she'll deal. Maybe they'll have a boy this time, or maybe this little soul just needed a really special mother, because she is. |
How old is the oldest? Perhaps the older ones will help out and give your daughter a bit more freedom than she had with the others.
|
Oldest daughter is about to turn 12. They do help. I think she's more worried about what people will think--she's dreading telling people.
|
What would people think? Why does it matter what they think anyway.
Things happen. I'm sure she'll do a great job, specially with the older ones to help out. :) |
Cloud, charmed numbers are: three, seven, nine, (well, any number divisible by three, actually) and 882. (that's the number of gold pieces the pirates of the caribbean had to have to break the charm)
oh, and 69. |
That's some rum luck, Cloud. Hope she gets her head around it soon.
Maybe she will have a daughter thsi time. Am I wrong in thinking later children are more likely to be female and earlier children more likely to be male? Have I got that wrong? Is it an old wives tale? |
It's an old husband's tale, actually. ;)
Cloud, she's a great mother, as you said. This child will be another blessing, in all your lives. |
Is she afraid someone will try to trademark Pentamom? :)
I think it's best to go with the "meant to be" route, and just try really, really hard not to spoil the youngest for all the joy s/he will surely bring. |

When they eventually had the kid, all the other moms were fighting each other to get a chance to hold that baby. They had all stopped having kids and missed holding babies. It was unexpected, but good. |
My younger brother was rather unexpected. What a blessing he has been in all our lives. I was 8 and my older brother was 10 when the younger was born. Boy, did we love him!

Or you could tell her not to worry so much about what other people think. Just do right by the kid. |
Yeah. I mean, I'm telling her all those things. And of course, I'm happy--more grandkids are merrier, ya know? But I don't have to raise them.
|
Doesn't anyone besides me give blow jobs anymore?!!!
|
Eh, what's one more.... throw it on the pile with the rest.
"Thought" as in she doesn't know for sure yet cloud? |

Kids
I have 6 kids from 2 different marriages, 2 were accidents but as far as I am concerned they are and always will be loved with all my heart and soul! My last ex didn't want the next to the youngest girl and I just told her to have the baby, when she went out on maternity leave I would pay her bills and then raise my daughter myself and she could go her own way. She finally got the idea and had our daugter and even though her mom and I aren't toghther anymore she will always be special to me in her own way just like each and every one of them! So it seems like a huge burden to raise one more but its a gift to be able to have kids from God and we should all thank Him for that gift. I am sure she will and is a great mom and will continue to do so forever!

cloud, what happened with this? Did she get the official confirmation?

My wife and I both were in previous marriages and now we have 8 children and 12 grandchildren. The grand children all come from her 3 boys who are older then my kids and several were aquired through mergers and aquisitions (divorced kids marrying spouses with kids, etc.)
Anyway, I consider all of them my kids and grandkids 100%. My 5 were born in a 6 year span; the last 2 were only 13 months apart. We had a cloth diaper service as disposables were a new thing and rather expensive. At one point we had the younger 3 in diapers... that's a lot of the damn things and I often wish I had owned stock in that company! |
Here's the story
Of a man called Houston who was bringing up quite a few sons He met a woman was a sweet dame who had more kids but no known name And then one day when they got hitched up they met the family and things got mixed up what with grand kids, step-nephew's nieces, long-lost cousins and nice-to-meet-yas |
You forgot to mention the taint...
|
"mergers and acquisitions" -- ha!

(BTW, all 3 of us kids were "accidents" to our parents. We have always known that, and have never been bothered by it. They don't love us any less. My point is, YTF would it ever matter if you're an "accident" or not? If you have a child by "accident" and can't love them the same as a "planned" baby, then fuck you. You have no business having any children. I'm disturbed you even make the distinction.) Cloud- hope you're family is doin well. Best of luck to all. My mom does not wish for any grandkids as of yet, if ever. She's had it tough watching the burden my aunt has with 5, 3 of which she is raising. Not that I'm saying your children are goin to burden you with their kids. |
