It was an oversight. Leave her alone, Shawnee! She's just so cute.

;)

Pico and ME 02-19-2009 08:22 AM

:D

Hmmm...seems she must relinquish her office then...alls fair in politics and taxes.

Oh wait, thats only if Republicans are pointing the finger.

:haha:

classicman 02-19-2009 01:02 PM

Great pic Ali!

Aliantha 02-19-2009 05:22 PM

He's a photogenic lad that one. Hard to take a bad shot really. ;)

Shawnee123 02-19-2009 05:25 PM

He is a handsome young man. :)

Aliantha 02-19-2009 05:26 PM

Thanks Shawnee. I'll let him know that a lecherous old woman has been salivating over him. lol

Shawnee123 02-19-2009 05:28 PM

heeheee...naw...I just know a good lookin' kid when I see one. His dark complexion reminds me of my younger brother. I don't know if Maverick is always that dark, but two seconds in the sun and my brother is, so is his oldest daughter.

I'm no lech. ;)

Aliantha 02-19-2009 05:29 PM

He's half Samoan. He gets pretty dark in the sun. That was at the begining of summer. He's probably a shade or two browner now although he does tend to cover up with hats and shirts and stuff pretty well.

Shawnee123 02-19-2009 05:31 PM

Yeah, I remember you saying he's half samoan. He's a cutie. You CAN tell him that. :)

Aliantha 02-19-2009 05:32 PM

lol...no worries mate. I'll do that when he comes home. I'm sure it'll make him blush. He's the shy one.

"We need to get us some of that reform."

I'm all for getting some of that money since the Dems are giving it out. Hell pelosi is on a plane that is spending more in fuel than most people make in a year.

TheMercenary 02-20-2009 02:17 PM

sugarpop 02-22-2009 12:40 AM

I remember back during the election there was talk of her owing for all the travel expenses of her husband and kids as well. It was a lot more than $17,000. I wonder why that wasn't mentioned...

Maybe it wasn't true.

Imagine yourself responding that way to a Democrat's tax problem.

Why does it matter if they are a Demoncrat? Or a Republickin? Or another tax cheat nominated by Obama? Oh the duplicity.

Griff 02-22-2009 09:28 AM

It doesn't matter to me.

TheMercenary 02-22-2009 09:30 AM

I could care less what party you choose to affiliate with? If you owe you need to pay.

Griff 02-22-2009 09:34 AM

It matters to you because you are a partisan.

TheMercenary 02-22-2009 09:35 AM

Partisan what?

It matters to me because of the double standard displayed.

Griff 02-22-2009 09:41 AM

You're an anti-Democrat. The only thing you are consistant about is railing against Democrats.

They have been the party in charge for more than two years now. They do get the blame.

Griff 02-22-2009 10:00 AM

You're so cute when you dissemble.

TheMercenary 02-22-2009 10:35 AM

Dissemble? :lol2:

Well at least I am not defending the double standards you all so bitched and moaned about. :D

You keep saying that. But they barely had a majority before. Especially in the Senate. Having a majority of a couple means nothing in there. And a lot of the stuff they tried to get through was vetoed by bush. So how do they get the blame exactly?

DanaC 02-27-2009 07:27 AM

Well, clearly, Bush was so ineffective, that his presidency had no impact on America. Given that everything that occured during his presidency was apparently the Democrats fault.

Just the first 6 years. I don't blame Congress' sucess or failures on the president. Both Bush and Obama get to share the prize for "Rubberstamper President".

He did veto a few things:

Quote:

1. Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005
2. US Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability 2007
3. Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007
4. Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007
5. Water Resources Development Act of 2007
HR 1495
6. Appropriations: Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, 2008
HR 3043
7. Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007
HR 3963
8. National Defense Authorization Act for FY2008
HR 1585
9. Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008
HR 2082
10. Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008
HR 2419
11. Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008
HR 6124
12. Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act of 2008
Wasn't that some kind of record?

sugarpop 02-28-2009 10:38 PM

Before the democrats won 2 years ago, for bush's first 6 years, he didn't veto a fucking thing. THEN he started vetoing stuff.

TheMercenary 03-01-2009 02:31 PM

Someone got the blues over this one.
