|

|
Holy crap. I bet she made it herself too...that's the kicker....
Awesome!!! :) |
No, fishies not edible, but take-homeable!
Yes, we made it. beest baked the cake, i made the jello along the engineering principles we developed after a cool-but-not-so-spectacular prototype on Weds. |
That is indeed awesome. Monster, your skills at doing creative and clever things like this and making costumes are really amazing. Although, I bet the other mums are all jealous now. |
Oh wow.
You are the coollest Mum evah! |
Thats awesome! How did you keep the fishes upright?
|
Should I give away trade secrets? hehe
We did the jello in layers, in each layer I cut slits and partially inserted the fish upside down before pouring the next layer. Thanks for all your lovely comments, as you can tell, we're pretty proud of this one :D |
Reminds me of this:
http://www.jellostapler.com/stapler-in-jello.html#75 I've been looking for a good reason to encase stuff in jello. Thanks monster!! |
by the way that is a basic sponge cake underneath for the sea bed.
|
Whew. For a minute, there, I though you were going to say that you dunked him in an aquarium for his birthday.
|
he'd've loved that.....
|
My kids are too old for that- I'm gonna try it for ME - Me I tell ya. I'm totally inspired. Great job Monstah!
|
oh yeah, I hear you ...I'm already at work on how I can do the Jello thing for the soccer teams and swim team....... :D
An looking at oriental Trading Company for the stuff to Jelloize.... |

I like that contraction. |
I've been wondering if you put any edible features in the jelly. I think that snakes (do you have that kind of lolly there?) would work, and there are probably more nautical shape edibles.
And for a diving/swimming theme jelly diorama you could use two layers of different coloured jelly, a pale yellow one for air and a blue one for water, and have a diver/swimmer going from one to the other. |
