Once upon a time, before I gained weight, people used to say I looked like Helen Hunt in certain expressions.
One of my friends found it so distracting in What Women Want that he could barely follow the plot. Luckily there wasn't one.

Oh God! Yeah. Actually, you do have many of her facial expressions. D'ye know it's been buggng me on and off since I first met you (not consistently, obviously. That'd be a bit scary and obsessive ) who the fuck you keep reminding me of. Helen Hunt. Who always reminds of of that other actor (Silence of the Lambs) but you only remind me of Helen, not the other one.....huh. Howbout that.

I couldn't resist. My top picks were Carlos Santana, Joseph Stalin, David Schwimmer, Barack Obama[!], and Richard Stallman.

In an effort to cause trouble, I decided to give it some celebrity photos. It identified Kristen Dunst and Nikki Cox correctly. For Emma Thompson, it got her on the #2 pick. (The #1 match was Andie MacDowell.)

Apparently I look like Angelina Jolie a bit, but mostly like Ashley Judd according to the website above

I get Sandra Bullock a lot, less so than when I was a few pounds lighter (weight goes to my face first) but even one of our young student workers brought it up last week. My best buddy here gets to be called Penelope Cruz! Bitch! ;)

Hmm. One of my pictures got Marcus Schenkenberg - some scruffy guy with long hair and a cowboy hat.

The other got me Donovan Bailey - a black guy.

When I was super-skinny, a few people asked me if I was Michael Stipe from REM. When I was super heavy, I was offered a job as one of Butterbean the wrestler/boxer's look-alikes for some of his Vegas bouts.
Now that I'm somewhere in-between, I just look like me.

My mom was named after Olivia de Havilland, well...Melanie. My grandpa thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, so named my mom Melanie after seeing Gone With the Wind.

It's uncanny, really. When we saw the new Willie Wonka movie in the theater, I gasped and said "That's YOU!" Pretty girl.

If you don't recognize her, she was Violet in the new Willie Wonka movie, starred in Bridge to Terabithia, and in Because of Winn Dixie, and some other stuff.

Just pointing out the obvious, the pic I posted is Annasophia, not my daughter. :) I'd post my daughter's pic for comparison, but you know...privacy and all that. They do look a lot alike though, down to the same hair cut and color, same little button nose and cute grin. I think Annasophia is a natural brunette, though. My DD is most definitely not.
