You Choose SG's Hair Colour

With the prevalence of voting shows on TV at the moment, it seems people love to invest in choices which affect other people's lives.

To this end, I have decided to leave my next hair colour in your hands.

Note to explain the options:
- If I strip the current colour from my hair, the result will be brighter
- If I am continuing to use blue there is no need to strip the colour
- To have a darker shade of purple I will also not need to strip the colour
- To have a bright purple or to start again with red I will need to strip the blue out of my hair.

DISCLAIMER: The results of this poll are not binding

Paisley.
But definitely not plaid.

SteveDallas 08-20-2008 10:54 AM

I'd go for a nice, natural-looking red, but that just because I like redheads. Don't mind me.

LabRat 08-20-2008 12:27 PM

Personally I think the darker colors suit you better than the lighter ones, at least in the pics I've seen of you here. So a black or deep purple or deep red/auburn would be my vote.

I have never colored my hair, and the last time I even added hightlights was over 9 years ago for my wedding, so what do I know. I'm lazy and uncreative that way :D.

straight black. white make up, dark mascara, black nails, goth clothes. when someone asks why you've gone goth, just act stunned and give them some reason why you're the happiest person on the planet, you're just in mourning for some recently deceased celebrity.

{for the Brits} Lookout's advice there sounds like something off the Top Tips page in Viz!

regular.joe 08-20-2008 02:19 PM

I'm with SD.

monster 08-20-2008 02:21 PM

Red, Purple and Blue, of course..... it's the only way to go :D

That's probably not good, is it?

Big Sarge 08-20-2008 04:30 PM

Definitely go with red.

Aliantha 08-20-2008 07:06 PM

I think you should put some of the red in as foils, then you've got blue and purple stipes.

That'd look cool. I once did that, only I had red, blue and blonde stripes.

My mum thought I looked like an idiot, but I thought it was cool.

squirell nutkin 08-20-2008 07:43 PM

Whatever as long as the carpet matches the drapes.

lumberjim 08-20-2008 07:43 PM

platinum blonde looked good on you. especially when you get all tarted up. you look most natural in auburn though.

...and..your hair is blue now? i thought it was black. i'm quite derelict in my cellar current events, im afraid.

i'll vote red

DucksNuts 08-20-2008 08:42 PM

Im copper at the moment, I love it, but its high maintenance (the good bit of owning a hairdressing salon I guess).

I voted deep purple, then I'd like to see what it was like as it faded a little.

I like redheads as well. Perhaps you've noticed.

morethanpretty 08-20-2008 11:07 PM

I went with purple cuz its my current favorite color. But I do have to admit, I'm not particularly fond of your haircut. I think you need to find something that flatters your face shape better. Maybe its just the way it shows in the pics, but it seems to be very bland, needs some layers or something I would think. Also comes off as looking a bit like a wig with its lack of life. The cut doesn't seem to match the boldness of the color, and your personality.

Please don't hate me...:runaway:

Clodfobble 08-20-2008 11:09 PM

I went for any option that doesn't involved stripping color out of your hair first. No need to damage it unecessarily.

Sundae 08-21-2008 04:03 AM

Thanks for all the votes guys :)

LJ I am very hurt that you are not keeping up with my current hairstyles. You probably haven't even realised I've been burned! Sob!

Ali, I tried to highlight my own hair once and just ended up with splotches. I had to have it repaired by a hairdresser. Foils are not my friend.

Clod – I don’t think stripping the colour out is as damaging as it sounds. My hair feels in good condition right now. I suppose I should only save it for when I’m determined to make a dramatic change though. Thing is, my healthy hair is often so limp – I long for a bit of frizz!

I think I am going to apply the red directly onto the blue already on there and see what happens. My guess is that it will turn different shades of purple, but who knows? The red might simply take where the blue hasn’t, giving me two-tone hair. It’s a gamble. Just have to find time to do it now – this weekend I am working Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun! It’s a Bank Holiday Monday but sadly that’s set aside for moving 

Morethan…. Hmmmmm. I like my haircut. I’ve been trying to get to it for months. It’s a layered bob with a short fringe and I like the way it frames my face, the back is off my neck and I can tuck it behind my ears when I can’t hear (because it’s a curtain of hair that makes all the difference!) I love the way I can rumple it about when I get a sweaty head and it just looks a bit messed up, not ruined.

If you check my album you will see I’m not averse to different styles – describe a style which you think would flatter my face and I’ll consider it. Just remember my hair is very fine and will play dead if given the smallest chance!

Shawnee123 08-21-2008 09:19 AM

Eh, I like the blond.

Well I did put that disclaimer. If you love it then I say stick with. I'd really have to see it to be a good judge. But you could go for something really punky!
