The dolphin/shark thing.

Can somebody post a link to the thread where this happened? At least tell me the story.

lookout123 08-07-2008 01:14 PM

Ever heard of the search function? Lazy Ass

Flint 08-07-2008 01:16 PM

Thanks so much! That answered all my questions. [/thread]

Shawnee123 08-07-2008 01:16 PM

I bet search won't find "the shark/dolpin thing." I'll try.

This search yielded these results:

From the Tip Mug quote:
Quote:

I wouldn't be surprised if someday some fisherman caught a big shark and cut it open, and there inside was a whole person. Then they cut the person open, and in him is a little baby shark. And in the baby shark there isn't a person, because it would be too small. But there's a little doll or something, like a Johnny Combat little toy guy - something like that.

"Contrary to popular belief, the most dangerous animal is not the lion or tiger or even the elephant. The most dangerous animal is a shark riding on an elephant, just trampling and eating everything they see."

it is easier for a shark to pass through the eye of a needle than a dolphin entering the Kingdome of Heav... umm... Seattle

Griff 08-07-2008 01:58 PM

You are all in violation of the first rule.

lookout123 08-07-2008 02:01 PM

treat others as you'd like to be treated?

Flint 08-07-2008 02:02 PM

I thought it was prostitution.

That's the Golden Hooker Rule.

lookout123 08-07-2008 02:03 PM

well, hell. i'd like to be paid for sex, but i don't think paying someone for the nookie will result in others paying me, so i'm not sure if the rule applies there flint.

I think so. Funny how that's the real hidden treasure in this thread of mythical proportions.

I was surprised it was only three pages.

Thanks for the link.

Undertoad 08-07-2008 08:58 PM

No, no, this was tw's first use and it was two years earlier.

jinx 08-07-2008 09:04 PM

Here's another thread, that has links to other threads.

Aliantha 08-07-2008 09:58 PM

I thought the dolphin shark thing was people taking the piss out of me because of something I said about a pic Bruce posted once. I'm sure he remembers which thread it was in, but I can't.

It's nice to know that I'm actually not that important.

HungLikeJesus 08-08-2008 12:08 AM

That's not true. You're important to somebody.

I haven't the foggiest.

TheMercenary 08-08-2008 08:04 AM

Still no one has asked the obvious question.

At what speed would a dolphin, compared to a shark, be able to launch from a standing start off a treadmill? Who would be faster? I think the answer is obvious.

Oh well, doesn't matter then does it. Besides, apparently it's not my fault anyway. :)

Flint 08-08-2008 04:38 PM

It's a Sharlphin...or a Dolphark.

NoBoxes 08-09-2008 04:04 AM

Does this thread have a porpoise?

xoxoxoBruce 08-09-2008 10:02 AM

Don't be snarky.

SteveDallas 08-09-2008 01:47 PM

Bruce.... surely you meant "sharky."

Question:

Which is truer:

It's easy to be popular.

It's popular to be easy.

Aliantha 08-14-2008 05:17 PM

It's popular to be easy.

eta: and around here, you're much more popular if you're easy.
