That first picture is cropped to show only the people in the wave pool in that narrow band of space where they are able to touch the bottom but still experience the wave's full force. I bet it's much less crowded off to the right where it gets deeper and a little less crowded off to the left, where it gets shallower. But I bet lots of kids are off to the left playing in the shallow end.

That just makes me shudder. I HATE crowds. especially where strangers are touching me. I am tensing up just thinking about it! :headshake I would rather sweat.

It's common for swimming pools in the Orient to require swimming caps. The reason is that they want to keep filters from getting clogged with hair.
Sure, a couple of hairs here and there won't damage the pump/filtration system, but when you're dealing with billions of people, those hairs can add up quickly!

It's dress down Friday - usually they come in suits and ties.

Who selects the image o' day and how does one go about nominating one? I'm usually content to see what image The Man comes up with, but this terrorist wedding cake caught my eye:
