May 18, 2008: Molly
From SonnyRadio, via Bits & Pieces.
No, Virginia, they don't always shoot horses. Sometimes the horses are very rich(valuable), or very, very lucky. Molly was the latter, in the end, but certainly not in the beginning. Quote:

Am I the only one who is tempted to see Molly dressed up as a pirate?
|
wow, that's pretty cool.

"Everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real heads."

Hmmm the left photo is 'shopped on the left side, all the way to the leg with the prosthesis. Also, the sky is entirely fake. I doubt the veracity of what that photo (1 of 3) is attempting to portray, mainly that a pony wears a artificial limb. I don't doubt that such a thing is possible however.
Snopes and LSU and YouTube (2 min 15 sec) agree she is real. |
you're right, it doesn't look like it matches the other limb. hmm. (heads off to Snopes)
ETA: "true" |
A pony with a fake leg - there must a joke here somewhere about quarter horses vs. three-quarter horses, but I'm at a loss.

OK Sperlock.

I don't care what they do in the hopelessly corrupt and political human Olympics:
May 2007: "An Amputee Sprinter: Is He Disabled or Too-Abled?" May 2008: "Double-Amputee Allowed To Compete for Olympic Bid / Appeals Court: No Edge Gained From Blades" Molly's bionic prosthetic will give her a 25% unfair advantage on the track , where competitors have traditionally had to get by on natural ankles. Keep horse racing untainted! |
But it's okay, because the track operators will be able to tell she's bionic-enhanced when her leg gives off that bionic sound effect.
|
I'm wondering what the implications here are for a case like Barbaro ... If they'd amputated and fitted a prosthetic, would he still have been eligible for stud?
|
They don't need a living horse for stud, only a formerly living one. Semen is often collected from big money animals and sold for years. It's quite a business.

Isn't the bionic sound effect always accompanied by the bionic individual going in slow motion? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg . http://blog.chosun.com/web_file/blog...Dollar_Man.JPG Bionic humans running (I can hear it now . . . :)) So, Molly'd be running in bionic slow motion, while the rest of the field is going regular speed, and they flash across the finish line while Molly is still creaking around the first turn? Or does the bionic sound warp all nearby time and space sufficiently that they'd all be slowed down? The Bionic Woman now spends all her time promoting this: http://selectyourcomfort.com/images/...t-graphics.jpg Mattress makes bionic sound effect when changing firmness. |
We really don't need a mattress ad. :eyebrow:
|
Does that make her a mattress actress?
|
Mattress Actress sounds like a euphamism for PornStar.

I'd like to see -errr, hear- the traditional bionic sound effect replaced with the one from the Jetson's car.

Bionic sound effects
Bruce, sorry if it seems that a commercial note has been introduced into the forum, but no endorsement of any Select Comfort product is implied. No pic of the Bionic Woman with the Sleep Number Bed could be found, but the image does show the bionic controls, and the "Firmer" and "Softer" labels for the two halves of the mattress suggest dramatic bionic stereo effects. There could be simultaneous ascending and descending effects--a bionic "Chopsticks," if you will.

SW, the Jetson's car has a great sound! (Great theme song for the show, too; note nonbionic "Chopsticks" as "Jane, His Wife" theme [which always seemed like an insult, though, after the swanky "Daughter Judy" music].) The Jetson's engine sounded like a cross between a purr and a percolator. Maybe a speeded-up version of the sound of that Model T flying on Flubber! :driving: http://www.carbuyersnotebook.com/archives/Flubber.jpg . http://studioservices.go.com/media/d...l/hi_pict7.jpg Much cooler sound effect than any on Star Trek. Could you see the Enterprise racing across the screen, and instead of that bland "swoosh," we'd get the Jetson's burble? Maybe the Flubber jalopy's gurgle for the Enterprise's shuttlecraft. http://trekmovie.com/tosrem/lastbattle/tosr070_03.jpg "Burble-burble-burble-burble . . ." "Gurgle-gurgle *wheeze* splutter bubble-bubble *sproing* gurgle . . ." |
