A convenient vitamin routine . . .
ya got one?
Because I can't seem to do it. I'll go out and get all these vitamins . . . and then I don't take them. I can't seem to put them in a place where it's convenient and I'll remember. |
These days, I only take a vitamin if I feel like I haven't eaten enough vegetables. Usually at the end of the day, when I realize what I missed out on.
|
I have one of those stupid pill-keepers. I got used to taking medications on a schedule when I was on the pill; I still have one medication that has to be taken twice daily, so it's not hard to throw in some D3, omega3, baby aspirin, etc. in the mix.
Oh, and I keep it right next to my toothbrush. That way, I see it when I brush and remember to take it. |
Yep, the little bottle sits on the bathroom counter, taking it is part of the after-shower routine.
|
hmm. I don't often drink bathroom water.
I used to take pills regularly, but these days, I'm off my meds. |
Put them in the same place you eat breakfast?
You just have to find a convenient place to put them in your routine. |
Hmm.....eating breakfast....is there also a convenient way to ensure one actually east breakfast?
|
Skip dinner. :)

HM and I keep our meds in a box on the kitchen counter. My vitamins and anti-depressants need to be taken with or after food so I pick them up when I go into the living room with my breakfast and cup of tea.
Easy-peasy! Oh and I can dry swallow most things, so vitamins in the bathroom wouldn't be an issue for me, just I eat on a more regular schedule than I wash (depending if I have Water Workout first thing for example, not washing my hair to get it all wet again) |
My*must haves* are in the tea bag pot and my vitamins on the microwave beside the kettle.
|
I have medicines that i have to take daily, so I just add them in with that. Talk about a handful!! Plus, I bought these little ziploc bags from walgreens that are for daily meds. That way, I pack them up in the beginning of the month and just throw one in when I am not going to be home for pill time.
|
I eat pills for breakfast, very tasty.
Also try viatacoast.com they have some good stuff. |
I'm a vitamin E person. Zinc and C when I have a cold. Vitamins at night.

Any vitamin/herbal tricks for Strep throat that anyone is aware of? We found out yesterday that Case's son has strep throat. He was treated at the doctor, but i feel ever so slightly sick and a minor throat irritation. I do NOT want to go to the doctor. We normally take good multivitamin as well as airborne when we start getting sick.

Chew and swallow a raw garlic clove and wash it down with some Emergen C. Or maybe some goldenseal tea?
|
omg. I love garlic, but I had 2 garlic cloves for good measure, and I'm not sure Case is going to kiss me tonight. I'd read that strep will go away on it's own, but then there is risk of rheumatic fever later. I think it mostly applies to kids though (hopefully). I may not even have strep, but with a trip coming up, I don't want to take a chance!

Garlic should be a staple of every diet. Good stuff. And good for cholesterol. My mom takes a garlic pill supplement.

However, I would like to say that apparently Jinx had the right idea. I ate 2 garlic cloves, drank goldenseal tea. While the side effects of the garlic were interesting, I feel great! I'm pretty sure the garlic burned the sore throat right out of the back of my mouth. |
