What was the most recent movie you watched on TV?
No rulez here. Just share what movie you last saw on TV. Post a short review or comment if you wish...in italics.
For me, it wasThe Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl on Disney Channel Sure it's a bit childish, but it's rather enjoyable. And Lavagirl's kinda perdy. |

I assume that was deliberate humour? :P Last movie I saw on TV was Dog Soldiers on ITV, which I've been meaning to watch for the longest time and am really glad I waited for. Turns out it really is at its best, watched alone in the dark as the clock ticks its way past the Witching Hour. Good solid horror flick. Very tense, with occassional humour to lighten it, but not corny humour. Well acted and well written, with the emphasis on human interraction, but with lots....lots.....of blood and gore. |
An entire movie? On TV? It was probably Sound of Music a year or so ago on some holiday. Or maybe Shrek. I think I watched that in the last year.
Edit: Oops. I forgot the review in italics. Both are good movies. I think they both could be considered classics at this point. |
Out of sheer boredom, and lack of cable, I saw Anchorman over the weekend. It was as stupid as I expected it to be. I chuckled slightly a couple times, but that was about it.
|
Probably "This Movie is not Yet Rated". It was amusing.
|
On satellite tv I watched "First Fifty Dates" which got me teary eyed. aww
I get sappy when I don't feel well. Followed by Cyote Ugly on the same channel which suprised me. I seems channels these days are 'theme based' in their line ups lately. |
Pink Flamingos is amazingly horriffic.
|
I don't watch TV. I can't stand commercials and am unwilling to pay for cable - which I understand has lots of commercials now too.

That was a part I chuckled at...that scene was pretty good.

I dont watch commercial TV either and I had the *cable* disconnected since they play the same shit over and over again, plus I never remember when shows I want to watch are on....I just buy the movie or boxed set.
|

Back to School on Comedy Central...God I love that movie!
|
"Pathfinder" and it sucked. After about 3/4 of the movie, I shut it off after the roasting-alive-head-first scene.
:( |
You know, I honestly can't remember the last time.... if I didn't see it in theaters, and I couldn't be bothered to buy or rent the DVD, I'm not going to watch the chopped up with commercials version.
|
oh my mother-fucking god.
I just saw Brick on HBO. Fucking incredible. Real effin' weird, but a really good movie. Lots of really great camera work, awesome plot, real dark... and they ended with Sister Ray (Velvet Underground!). Go see it. NOW. |
Superman Returns on HBO Family

Happy Feet on HBO west

|
Galaxy Quest on HBO Family
|
The Santa Clause on Disney Channel
|
Batman & Robin on Encore
|
Wizard of Oz
It was a full hour longer on commercial TV than on video |
About 15 minutes of what I think was Hot Shots Part Deux.
|
I saws the Canterville Ghost with Patrick Stewart and Neve Campbell on free movies on demand. Sweet.
|
Mr. Skeffington, on TCM this past weekend, starring Bette Davis and Claude Rains. I missed the very beginning, so until I looked it up on IMDB just now, I thought the movie's title was Mrs. Skeffington. It would've made more sense, since the story revolved completely around Ms. Bette.
|
Metal: A Headbanger's Journey on VH1 Classic
Of course, I also have it on DVD, so I could've watched it unedited and commercial free, but I'm lazy. |
Sky High on Disney Channel
|
Back To The Future, Part II followed by Little Shop Of Horrors on HBO Family west
|
Part 3 of the greatest trilogy ever made. Take a guess at what I'm refering to.

1 was great; 2 was pretty bad, but watchable; 3 and 4 were ok, but 5 was total shit. |

Mine was a joke though. The first Back to the Future was pretty good. The 2nd and 3rd sucked.
