Excellent, thank you.

Rock on !!
It looks like you had a good time !!! Oh ( and don't take this wrong ) Mom Be Looking GOOD in that Bikini !!! |
Those are a great set of photos Bullitt - whereabouts on the island were you staying? We went there a few years back and stayed at a resort which was OK, but a bit too touristy for me - the place you stayed looks perfect!

Curtain Bluff, Morris Bay.

Wwwwoow, what an amazing place to be! Ive never seen a place like that, but maybe thats because i never leave Belgium!;)
|
Those are wonderful man!

Thanks, yeah it's safe to say this has been the best vacation of my life. This island is amazing. Sorry I should have put a disclaimer about how many dang pictures there are. There's more to come tonight though; I'm going on a helicopter tour of the nearby active volcanic island Montserrat.

Those are great shots.. looks like you had a fabulous time. (One of these days I'm going to upload all mine pics....) |
Haha well you know, family vacation and all. There is a 15 year old Italian girl here with a ridiculously skimpy/pushup bathing suit.. ugh.
The album is a work in progress, so not everything is captioned and tagged just yet. |
soooooooo jealous! Thanks for sharing!
|
WOW! I enjoyed the one of cannon with arrow, I guess to show which end to point to target.
|
Beautiful shots. I now have a new desktop background. That's right. There is some thiefin' goin' down.

Glad you all are enjoying the photos. Here's the Montserrat gallery finally all uploaded.
Sorry zippy, there's a bit of a hurricane going on right now so I don't think I'll be able to fill that request haha. |
My first wife's folks had a lovely mountain-side property on Montserrat. All gone.
I was sorry to hear that hurricane has kicked up to cat 2.... take care. |
Stunning pics bullit! Looks like someplace to put on my short list.
|
Bullitt - Good luck riding the storm out; be sure to get some pictures of the cows flying by the window.
P.S. How do you like SmugMug? Which type of account do you have? |
I'm actually back safe and sound in Ohio now, but thanks!
More photos are in the process of being uploaded (mostly of the storm), so have a look if you like. I have the standard pay account on SmugMug HLJ. It's been great so far. Incredibly easy to upload photos, no bandwidth or storage restrictions, simple to organize, arrange, and tag photos, and a wide variety of customization. If you end up getting a pay account, use this coupon code in the "Referred By:" section: 1Aa1e6WPCEegw. Saves you $5. |
Glad all is well, man, great job with the pictures. So the storm passed before you left?
|
Thanks bruce. Actually we got lucky and the storm zigged south of the island more towards Guadalupe and Dominica, so we didn't get the brunt of the storm. Curtain Bluff has facilities to provide fresh water and electricity during a storm, so our only concern was being able to leave the island on our scheduled flight.. which was right after the storm was projected to hit the island.

Any clue as to how far from shore that lobster trap would have been planted? In the bay? Open water?
|
I honestly couldn't say exactly where it came from. We were on the southern end of the island and the storm was coming north and east towards us so it could have been carried by the storm surge from a long way off. Or it could have been from Cades Reef which was a mile out from Curtain Bluff. It was made of sticks and wire so I imagine it belonged to a local fisherman, meaning that it likely wasn't out in open water but more likely from the reef or another bay.

Glad ya made it back safe and sound !!

Hey Bullit,
Looks like a great time and thanks for the images. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to get things organized for display. Ok, maybe it's just a PITA for me. :) What camera produced the images? |
I was lucky enough to have DSL internet there, so I was able to upload just about everyday as the trip went on instead of having to wait until I came back and wading through 4 gigs of photos.
Camera: Nikon D50 with the kit 18-55 lens, Nikkor 30-85, and a Sigma 70-300. http://www.bobatkins.com/photography...ikon_D50_2.jpg |
